The Board of Public Works of the City of hichmond, Indiana, met in _ regular session at the office of said Board Monday April 27th, 1925 at 7 30 o' clock P. M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Land , McFail and Henley being present, the following proceedings were had , to-wit : - Upon the recommendation of ;im. F. Eversman, Sup' t . , of Police , The Board award the contract to Earl J. Wright , for furnishing the City "Motorcycle ", for Police Duty, and seilect "Harley-Lavidson, Motor- cycle" , with special _speedcand electric siren, fully equipped at the price named in his bid submitted therefore April 23rd , 1925, to-wit : - 478 . 54. The Board grant permission to Roxana Petroleum Corporation, to cut the curb and construct driveways across sidewalk at filling station to be erected by them at corner of North 6th & "A" Streets Lot No. 36-p J. Cox, Addition. as of date of April 24th, 1925. The Board ratify the sale of property belonging to the City on the south side of Richmond Avenue west of Doran Bridge , as made at auction sale held April 23rd, 1925, as follows , to-wit : " C. H. Sell, garages - $76.00; J. L. McNeil, Wagon shop $150.00; also shed $10.00; Jacob Kern, Blacksmith shop--`!'110.00; and direct the buildings be removed from the grounds within 90 days. The Board met to hear all persons interested in, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 774-1925, for improve- ment of the alley between South llth & 12th Street, by constructing a cement roadway from South "G" to "H" Street. After hearing all per- sons interested who appeared, no one remonstrating against said im- provement and the Board being fully advised in the premises , decide that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improve- ments are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without modification. The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 186-1925 ,for the vacation of the 1st alley north of South "C" street, from South 4th to 5th Street . The Clerk was directed to notify R. Y. Shiveley owner of property at southeast corner of South 9th & Main Streets , to remove the awning at above corner, the same being an obstruction to new traffic signals and a menace in case of fire. The Board directed the Richmond City Water Works to lay a 6" water main in North 17th Street , from North "G" to "J" Street, and to also move and relocate the -fire hydrant from Northwest 3rd a Kinsey Street to the cornea' of Northwest 4th & Kinsey Streets. The Board directed the bup' t. , of Light Plant to • prepare to install electric arc lights as shown on map outlined by him, in the newly annexed part to the city lying to the west, in case the annexation is not remonstrated out. 1 8 Monday April 27th , 1925. Pursuant to advertisement , the Board received bids for furnish- ing all material , labor etc . , for installing the .Heating System in the new fire station being erected at North 8th Street and Fort Wayne Ave . .just north of railroad tracks as follows , viz : - CC. Miles , Lewisville , bid ; Heating system complete . : 176%.00. All above bids made according to plans and specifications. The Board referred the above bids RNZExrE to Fire Chief and Building Inspector, for investigation and report . The Clerk was directed. to notify E. K.
