The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board Monday April 13th 1925 , at 9 o'clock A. /v1. All the members of said Board , Messrs , Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit : - . The Board approved the contract & bond of W. L. Magaw, contractor under Improvement AAesolutio n No ' s. 753 & 754-1925. Pursuant to continuance to this date , the Board take up the matter of petition for concrete paving . on Richmond Ave , from Northwest 5th to Sedgwick Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 758-1925. The Board find upon investigation, that to pave said roadway with con- crete , would cost the city more than they had anticipated and would run over the amount allotted this year for city ' s part of Public Improvement , on motion the Board reject all bids heretofore received and directed the Clerk to re-advertise for bids on said street. Permission was granted to the following named persons as follows: - Arthur Thomas, to cut curb at 801 South 9th Street, Frank G. Bussen , to cut curb at 830 Southwest "A" Street. Jas. A. VanNuys to lower the alley even with garage 27 South 12 ,St. The Board directed Building Inspector to grant bui lding permit to erect building on Lot No. 10, in J. W. Salters, Addition, Blbck "B" The Board received communication from City Plan Commission, recom- mending boulevard type of light and underground cable in new road being constructed in Glen Miller Park, the Clerk was directed to notify D. C.Hess Sup' t . , to install such system in park as recommend:- ed. The Clerk was directed to notify Sup' t . , Hess, to install the traffic light system On Main Street, at 4th & llth & Main Street, using the present control switches. • The Clerk was directed to notify the Municipal Traffic Post Co ., to remove their post from 4t11. 1 Main Street. The Clerk was directed to adverti se for bids for heating system in new Fire Station now under construction. John F. Davenport , Chas. D. Shideler & Jesse A. Bailey, appraisers appointed to appraise the real estate nece sseiry to be condemned to open South 5th Street , from South "H" Street south , reported the true value of ground & bui ldings at $2500 .00 bui ldings to be removed by the property owner.
