Meeting called to order and Governors' Orders read by Andrea Nevins at 1 : 00 pm

Implementation FY22
Corrected minutes of February 17 , 2022 were unanimously approved .
DIRECTORS' REPORT :

Since the COA offices will be opened Monday through Thursday to the public, limited outside
events will be held on Fridays such as Ice Cream Social and other fun events .
Denise and Lauren met with LPI , the Newsletter publisher, to increase the number of pages
and to publish every other month . This would reduce postage expenses . Concern was raised
about the timeliness of announcements .
Denise mentioned that the town was setting up a website and therefore announcements can
be posted to the site . There was a question of having an electronic newsletter and Denise
replied that the majority of people still wanted the paper newsletter .
Deniseialso announced that Mary Ann Ryan is the new CEO of Elder Services of Cape Cod and
that Sharon is a Board Member until 2024 .
Janet S'tolzer said that she has not heard if she has been appointed to the Cape Cod Sea Camp
committee . Cindy said that appointments will be made soon . Denise will check into it .
Health and Wellness Fair
Denise and Sharon have reviewed the space at the Brewster Baptist Church for the fair . The
space can accommodate the various presenters and equipment but the layout has yet to be
determined .
Denise has had confirmation from most of the groups and is awaiting a few more . There are
about 20 to 25 participants to date .
The fair will be promoted as a Brewster Health and Wellness Fair . Sharon has proposed a
committee to set plans for the fair day and program content .

We will look at rerunning previously aired programs .
AARP Grant Application
Livable Cites Grant is complete and ready for sign off.
- The Recreation Council , DPW and the COA has reviewed the bench and table proposal for
their location and installation at Freemans Way Ballfield .
Committee Reports

Mike Gradone reviewed the AARP/COA Grant for benches and tables at Freemans Way
Ballfield
- A new message board will be purchased and installed at the tennis courts near Stoney Brook
School
For Summer Programs, swimming classes will be held at the Sea Camp beach . Also, two
Outdoor Movie Nights, one for adults and one for children , will be set up on the Sea Camp
front lawn .
Board of Health
Penny noted that the system we tried to put in place from our last meeting to reach out to
the individuals who have not received their second dose or booster shot was not going to
work . '
Denise said that a note was added to the Newsletter informing everyone to call the COA with
any questions about the COVID shots . Callers will be forwarded to the right resources . To
date there have been no calls .
Vision Committee .
Sharon stated that 2312 paper surveys have been returned , representing 25 % of the Full/ Part
Time population . She has created a template to input the data . Moreinformation will be
coming out shortly .
Friends of Brewster Elders :
Jay mentioned that the FOBE is working on plans to increase revenue at the Thrift Shop .
- A local retailer has donated a large number of sweatshirts and t-shirts that are now on sale at
very attractive prices .
