The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indi ana,,' met in regular s es;si on at the. office of sa id Board Thursday March 19th., '1925, at 9 o clock A. M. All the mem.be rs of said Board Messrs , Land , McFall and Henley, bei ng p-re sent . The following proceedings were had , to -wit : - . • In matte r of Chas. A. Hall,. reque sting permission to take the sod from South 4th Street south of South ".I" Street ; the Board decide - if he secures the consent of ad jac ent prop erty owner; , he may take- sod from the street . The Board grant pen!isslo n to the Community Servi ce to baracade • North "A" Street from .North 10th to. llth Street , Friday of each week, for strati ng from .E .30 to 8 P.M. unless the adjacent. resi dents and property owners object . • The Clerk was dir ected to no ti fy John & Milton Atkinson that they will offer for sale the buildings to the south of Richmond Avenue formerly owned by them on or about April 23rd, 1925, in compliance wi-th thirty day notice. agreed to. by said Board. The Board met to hear remonstrances, if any of persons interested in the widening of the alley on' north side thereof , between State & Williams Street , froom Boyer to. Northwest 2nd Street , as proposed under Declaratory He solution No. 185:-1925. And the Board now orders that a • list or ro11 be. prepared of all ownere or holders of prop erty,and of valuab le interests therein, sought to be taken .or to be. injuri- ously affe-cted, which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially affected: The Board ap roved primary assessment ro11 for the wid en.ing of South ."I" Street , from South 9th Street , east to east line of Lot No. 6 , East .Oakland, under Declaratory Resolution No. 182-1925. Sec. 4, twsp. 14, Rage .l ,W. under Declaratory Resolution No. 183-1925 The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 772 -1925, for the improvement of South "I" Stre et , by grading & graveling the, roadway and constructi ng cement curb & gutter on both sid es of street , from South 9th Street to the west side of the 1st alley west of South 9th Street. The Board held a conference with G. J.Derbyshi: e Gen. Sup' t. ,' of C.& O.i y.Co., regarding various matte rs affe cti ng the City and - R.R.Co. , Mr. De-rbgshire , agreed to have tentative plans prepared to tape care of said matters and forward the same to the .Bmrd for the appro v al of the C ity of Ri chmond . • 201 Thursday March 19 th , 1925. Board received bids for the furnishing. of pri nted suppl fbs as may be required for use of the Municipal Electric Lighti rig € Power Plant for a six months period , as follows , to--wit : - " Stamback Printing Company, bid ; According to forms in amount called for '198. 2C "Nicholson Printing Company, bid ; Accordi ng to forms in amount called for 5h215 .40 " The J. M. Coe Printing Co. , bid. ; Accordi ng to forms and amount called for 5 227 . 2.5 'T G. U. Ballinger Cc. , bid ; kccordirg , to forms in amount called for 2o . 75 All bids referred to Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant for investi gation and report. • The Board receive bids f. r Two ( 2) One ( 1_) ton, motor driven trucks, with cabs , dump bodies and.rir ' xpa dear shift , for use of Street Department, as follows, to-wit : - " Yd. E. hcwhinney C ompsr_y, bid ; Two trucks complete according to specifications total 51464 . 50 The bid was referred to the Street Commissioner for investi ,t- on and report .
