The Boa rd of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indi ana , met in regular session at the of fi ce of said Board Thursday March 12th , 1925, at 9 o clock A. M. All the membe rs of said Board Me s s rs. , Land, McFall, and Henley being present . The following pro eedi nes were had ; to-wit'; - The Board received from the Bell Lumber & Coal Co . requesting Fire -Hydrant at South 8th & "M" Stre et , The Fire Chief was dire cted to make a survey of recently annexed terri tory to the south, and report as to location of future fire hydrants. . matter of The Board -received communica ti o n from C . &. 0. Ry. 'Co. , in f c omplaints referred to Ry. Co. , & asking for an interview on various Lott ers , the Clerk was directed to noti fy .G. J. Derbyshire, Gen. Sup't. , the Board wi11 be pleased to meet with them Thursday March 19 , Monday March 23, 1925, or any Board day suitable to them. • The Board received communication from City Plan Commission, that they do not oppose the proposed' establishment of "Kinwenis Trail, the Board referred the mate to City Attorney for proper agreements as to placing of• and keeping markers in proper condition. • Claim of Sam Fred, in sum of 43.00 for having his automobi le pulled out of ditch on South "D" Street near 13th Street Tuesday March 10, was referred to City Attorney , as was also the matter of portable gasoline fi lling stations . • • The Board change Fire Districts No. 8 , 9, & 11, see descriptions on contracts. • • The Board granted permission to School Board, to close North "G" Street from 13th Street east .to all eY , on school days , from 8.10 to 8.30 A.M. 12. 55 to 1.15 P.M. & during the recess hours , and no ti fy Police Department accordi • ngly. The Board direct the Building Inspector to notify F.W'.Bendfeldt , . contractor , that they approve prop osed changes to --wit :- to set the bu ng 1 ' north & 1 ` west from on gina,l- drawl nga and to have a . smooth driveway in preference to corrugated. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 771 -1925, to improve alley between South llth && 12th St. by cement roadway from South "F" to "G" Street. • G. Rhestener waS granted permission to cut the curb at 406 S. 7 ,St. The Board received bids on touring car for Police Department : • - "Dalbey Motor Sales Company, bid ; One 5 pas . Chevrolet Touri ng car, according to speci fi ce.tic ns ,,496.95. '° .Mci4'hinney Company, bid . One Ford Touring„ car,. according to specifications 5?'719 .42 • The bids were referred. to Chief of Poli ce Department , for selection. The Clerk was directed to advertise the old bui ldings south of Richmond Avenue , for sale at auction, same to be removed from lots . The Board Then adj ourned, .
