M. All the members of said Board , Messrs , Land , McFall and. Henley being present'. The following proceedings were had, to-wit : The Board entered into agreement wi th property owners. for servi ce s to be rendered by the City Fire Department of the City, agreeing ' that the department will respond to alarms of fire coming from Distri ct No. One-, known as The Earl .am Heights Club ; District No. /, being the t-erri tory- between Indi anapo lis Division of Pensy, R.R. • and North of West Main Street, from Coporate limits of City to a point 700 ft. wett of East Haven Ave . , District No. 2, l,ri ng south of West Main Str eet to a. point wi th "E" Street if extended rest to' a point 700 ft. west of East Hav en . Ave ; also , 'property fa ci ng• National Road, to east corporation line of Centerville , Ind . , District No. 3, bounded on north by corporate limits on west 'by the alley between SW. 5th : 6th Street if extended south to Abing- ton Pike ; thence to Test Road to prcperty facing Test Road on south of road to liver1. thence along west bank of river to south corporate limits of City . They having each deposited the sum of 5�50 .00 with City Controller, to cover the minimum price fixed .for first call or • 1st hour per fire company. The said di s tri cts agreeing ( each ) to maintain at-ali• times the sum of 5 50:00 on deposit with the City Controller to insure the good faith of said districts . - The Clerk was di recte d to no ti fy the persons to whom agreement s were mai led, that' the ci ty fi re department would not render any service to property in outlying districts , not having signed the agreements • or deposited the sum of 5 50 .00 wi th the City , and in eve nt the fire department is called from a fire alarm box, and the property be 10-. cated outside of city in territory not being signed up , the depart- ment was notified to return to their statio n as if no alarm had been received. . The Board awarded the contract for the construeti on of the "New Fire Stati c.n" , to E. W. endfeldt , according to proposal received February 26 , 1925, selecti ng his Alternate bid at pri ce of 013 ,915.43, The Board approved the following list of sub-contractors submitted by Mr. Bendfelt , as follows, viz : - Excavation, Concrete , Cement ,Chas. Wagner; Br ck Work, Frank Powell or Wagner; Tile work, Wagner; Painting, Haner ; G: Scott; Plastering, Bode or Schroeder ; Roofing and Metal worrk , & 'aiming or Roland & Beach; Plumbing , Ball &7/ Strebe , Wiring, Get. Chinchel la Hy-tex Brick C $27. 50 per M. net ; #0 "B" Grade Glaze Brick , 6 $35. 50 per M. net .made by Hydraulic-Press Brick Company. l! • The Board unanimously . adop ted Improve men t Re solution No. 769 -1925, for the improvement of the all ey betw een West Main and Southwest "A" Street , by constructs ng a cement roadway, from Son thy:e at 7th to 8th Street . In matter of petition for sidewalk on south side of West Main Stre et, from 8th to llth Str eet , the Board deci de as . the ci ty has not the money necessary to cover the ci ty ' s part at th is time , no plans ordered. 1 2 Monday March 2r , 19215. The Board directed the Clerk to noti fy The C . 0. ,y. Co. , to install arc lights as follows ; South "L" & C .& 0. South "N" & C .& 0. one on each side of South 9th Street bri d ge c-ro s sing .C_I. & U. Tway. • The Board directed the Sup' t . , of M. E.T,.& P. P. to-install Arc Lights in the territory annexed to ci ty in south end as follews to -wit : - 'Liberty Ave , at South "N" St ; also , bet . South• "L" & "N" St s; and bet . South "0" & "Q„ Sts ; South 5th & "N" Sts ; South 9th E,; "L" Sts ; South 9th & "N" Streets ; South 9th & South Avenue ; South 11th & North Ave ; South. 13th & North •l've ; South Ave . & East Ave; South Ave . bet. East Ave and South. 9th Street. • The Board approved the various payrolls to March 1st , 1925. The Board again conti nue hearing on Improvement 'Resolution No. 760 -1925 , for improvement of National Road, from Siu.lst to 2nd Street , to Thursday March 5th , 1925. • • The Board then adj ourned , • r . of B oa rd Attest Clerk of Boaro.
