Thursday Pabru.ary 26th , 1925.
The Board of Publ is Wor ks of the C i.ty of Richmond , Indi ana, met
in regular session .at the of fi ce of said Board Thursday February
26 th , 19 25 , at 9 o'clock. A. M. All the membe rs of s aid Board ;
. Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following pro-
ceedings were had , to-wit : -
• The Board continued hearing on Improverin.t Resolution No. 755-1925
_ . for cement roadway in alley between North "H" & "I" Street, from
North 8th to 10th Street.
A petition was presented fo r the improvement of the alley between
Southwest "A" •& Main Str eets , by cement roadway from S.W. 7th to
8tii Street, referred to Erigi neer for investigation.
The 'Board app roved contract and bond of the Hayes Construction Co.
of Indianapolis ;. Indiana, for tarvia "B" for the season of 1925.

Pursuant to continuance to this date'. The Board met to hear remon-
stra.nces if. any against the proposed opening of a 40 ft. stre et
in Plat `l, estate of Sarah Moffi. tt ' lots 4 & 5 and part o.f 3, to
be known as Lucky Drive under Declaratory Resolution No.181-1924,
No remonstrance .being filed ors presented. to the Board against said
• proposed opening , thereupon, , being fully advised in the iatt er,
the Board takes final action on said resolution, confirming. with-
out modifi cati o n, all former action taken on same . And the Board
now orders that /a list or roll be prepared of all owners or hold-
ers of property, and of valuable interests' therein, sought to be
taken or to be injuriously affected, which list or roll shall al-
so describe the prop erty bene fi ci.ally aff e cte d.
The City Civil Engi neer, was directed to ascertain the probable .
co st to the city of grading and graveling roadway and constructing
cement curb & gutter on North 17th Street, from North "I?" to "J"
• Street .
Pursuant to adverti sement. The Board received bids for the erection
of_ a 'ori.ck "Fire Sta.tio n" �,t corner of North 8th Street and Ft-
Wayne Ave . nc rth of Rai lro ad on Lots No. 11 & 12 , I.E. Jones , Add.
according to the plans and specifications therefore , as follows ,
to-wit :-

The bids were reffered to Building Inspector and Fire Chief

Thur slay Feb ru.r.y 26th , 1925.
The Board ordered an arc light installed on North "E" Street ,
between North 9th E-3 10th Street .
The Board directed the Clerk to adverti se fdr bids for furnishing
- the Street Department wi th two one to n_ trucks .

The Clerk was directed to J. rIueKer Engineer , to repair the al-
Ley 1st north of Main Street running west from Northwest 1st St.
at building be constructed by him and ow ne d by Bet har d Auto C o. ,
by fi lling the ruts made by them in hauling.
The Board entered into agreement with the Last End Club, agreeing
that the City Fire Department will respond to all alarms of fire
coming from the territory known as Dis tri ct No. Seven ( 7 ) , they
having deposited the sti pulated sum of ti;;50 .00 with the City Con •
-
troller, to cover the minimum price fixed for first call or fi rst
hour per fi re company. The said club agreed ng to maintai n at all
times the sum of 450 .00 on deposit wi th the City Controller, to
insure the good faith of said club.
Claims in amount of ti 32,107.04- were allowed w ordered paid.
The Board purchase Lot No. 87, in The Jenkins Aidi- tiers, on the

east si de .of Southwest 4th Str eet r as per agreement of. A. IT.
Gardner A t t orney , for the sum of : 50 .00 and delinquent taxes
providing the Deed is made out and :^ecorded before March 1st ,
- 1925 .
