The Board of Public Works of the City of. Richmond, Indiana, met
m in regular session at the office of said Board Monday February
- • 23rd , 1925 , at 9 o' clock A. T.I. All the members of said Board Messrs,
Land, McFail and Henley being .present . The following proceedings .
- • Were herd , to-wit :- • .
The Board met to hear all persons interested in - or whose property
.:
is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 755-1925 , for cement road-
-way in the alley between North "H" 8c "I" Street , •from -North 8th to
10th Street ,A rem onstra.nce signed by David Ogden et.-al, having been
filed against said improvement . The Board referred the same to the
City Civil' Engi neer .for investigation •and report.
The Board met to hear all persons interested in, or , 'hose . property
is affected by Improve'ment Resolution No. 756-1925, for improvement
of alley between South 16th & 17th Street, and 1st alley south of
Main Street, by constructing cement roadway in said alleys, from
Main to South "A" Street ; and from South 16th Street east to alley
between South 16th & 17th Street, After hearing all persons inter-
- ested who appeared and care fatly considering a remonstrance signed
- by. Ora R. Ward and 3_ others, and. being fury advised in the premis-
es, the Board overrule said. remonstrance , and decide -.that. the bene-
fIts to the property liable ' to be assessed for said improvements
are equal to the cost of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer
and thereupon take final action on said resolution, the same being
confirme d wi th out modif i cato n.
The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property
is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 757-1925, for 'improvement
of Crossha.i1 Street , by constructing cement sidewalks on both sides _
thereof , from Grant to School Street. After hearing all persons in-
• terested. The Board deci de that the benefits to the property liable
to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of same
as reported by the City Civil Engineer , and thereupon take final
action on said resolution. The same being confi rmed wi thout modi-
fication . • N, .
The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property
is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 759-1925 , .fcr the improve-
ment of east side of Southwest 2nd 'Street, by constructing cement
sidewalk, curb & gutter at vacated Howard Street. No one appearing
or remonstrating. The Board decide that the benefits to property
liable. to be assessed for said improvement are equal to- the cost
of same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon take
final action on said resolution, the same being confirmed without
mo di.fi cation.
The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property
' is affected .by Improvement Resolution No.762--1925, for cement road-
way in alley between SW. 9th & 10th Street, from SW. "A" St. south
to alley 1st north of £Jationai Road . .A Majority remonstrance having
been fi led against said. improvement . on motion the Board rescind
said resolution,
• The Board again continue hearing on improvement of National hoad
from 1st to 2nd Street, Improvement Resolution No. 760-1925, to
March 2nd , 1925.

The Board met to hear -remonstrances and take final action on De-
claratory Resolution No. 182--1925 , for the widening of South "I"
Street (5' on both sides of street ) from South 9th Street east
to the east line of Lot 6, East Oakland , Addition. No remonstrance
being presented or filed with the Board- against said proposed wid-
ening, thereupon', being fully advised in the me.tter, the Board
takes final action on said resolution, confirming , -wi th out modi fi-- ,
cation, all former action •taken on the same . And the Board now
orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners or holders
of property, -and of valuable interests the rein, sought to be taken
or to be injuriously affected, which list or roll , shall also de-
scri be the prop erty bene fi ci ally affe cted.
The Board .met to hear remonstrances and take final action on De-
c1a.ratory' liesolution No. 183-1925, for the wid ening of South "J"
Street ; fa ( 7 ' 'on no rth si d. e & 10' on s outh sid e of street )
from Sout1• 9th Str eet east to the center line of Section 4, Twsp .

lution, confirming, wi th out modification, all former action taken
on the same . And the Boa rd now orders that a list or ro ll be pre--
pared of all owners or holders of property , and of valuable inter-
ests therein, sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected,.
which list'`or' ro ll shall also describe' the property beneficially
affected.
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory heselution No. 185--1925
provi ding for the. wid ening o.f the all ey between State. & Williams
Street., by the condemnation and apr i.opriatioh of 3E feet of the
.. ground on north aid e of alley., from Boye r to Northwest 2nd Street.
The Board. granted. permission to remove a tree adjacent to 311
North 19th S_tr eet.
. The Clerk was directed to no ti fy the N.E.L.& ?.P. to remove. the .
tre es , cut down by th cm on we st sid e of ri ve r bank, be twe en .
National Road & 'Doman Bridge .
A petition signed by Dille McGuire Mfg. Co. , for cement roadway
in all ey between -North 13th & 14th St, from North "F" to south .
to rmina l of alley ; thence ea st to North 14th Street , was receive d
and referred to Engi neer for plans .
Claims in amount of 20,185. 24 were allowed ordered paid .
