RESOLUTION NO. 1538
WHEREAS, Edward Hospital & Health Services has submitted an application to the Illinois
Health Facilities Planning Board to build the Edward Plainfield Cancer Center; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Edward Plainfield Cancer Center would be 30,000 square feet and
include medical and radiation oncology services; and
WHEREAS, the praposed Cancer Center would bring services to the Plainfield community that
are not currently offered thus making it a logical addition to the Edward Plainfield Campus; and
WHEREAS, patients and residents will now be able to access care closer to home; and
WHEREAS, the Village continues to support Edward's efforts to improve access to care in the
community and expand services at the Plainfield campus; and
WHEREAS, as elected officials, the Plainfield Village Board recognizes the importance of
providing excellent health care to the community
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the Village of Plainfield supports the
Edward Plainfield Cancer Center application and project.
