The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of. said Board Thursday February • 5th, 1925, at 9 o' clock A.M. All the members of said Board Messrs, Land, McFai1 and Henley being pre sent . The following . proceedings were had , to-wit : - - - I/ Complaints from Common Council were read to Board , and referred as follows, so much of same as referred to placing of arc lights , was • referred to Sup't. of Light Plant, sidewalk east side of North 12th, between "E" & R.R. Clerk directed to notify E.Cureton Sup' t. , Inter- national Harvester Co. , complaints of C.& 0. Railroad crossing at South 6th Street , sidewalk South 5th Street and conductor pipes on Main Street & South 5th Street bridges, Clerk directed to notify the company of make necessary repairs , and install signal & lights. at South 6th Street crossing.. The Board received and accepted dedication of Right of Way, signed by Wilber 0. Wardlow, giving the city the right to construct and - maintain a sewer across lots No. 11 & 12 in Creston Addition, and directed the Clerk to have same recorded in office of County hecnrdex The Board received recommendation from City Plan Commission, that territory to the west be annexed to the City , bounded on north by Pansy. R.R. on west 700 f t. west of Nast Haven Ave . on the south by the middle line of Sec. 1 and Sutton Place ,Add. & the National Road on the east by present sorporation line . Referred to City Attorney for ordinance to annex said territory. A petition for sidewalk on south side of West Main Street, from 8th to llth Street, signed by 0.W.Ni.cely was received & taken under ad- visement. -Joseph M. Brennan was appointed a member of City Fire Depar.taent. Sup' t. , Hess of M.E.L.& P.P. reported progress on the traffic light system for Main Street , he was directed to proceed with contract for same as per his report. He also submitted a communication to . the Board was placed on file . The Clerk was directed to request Mr. J.E.Healy, resident of hichnonc Ave. west of 5th Street, to appear before the Board as to information far paving said Avenue. The hearing under Declaratory Resolution No. 181-1924, was again con- tinued to February 26 , 1925. (Lucky Drive opening) I/ Claims in amount of ti#9557.02 were allowed. The Board accepted the plans, drawings &- specifications as prepared by the Building Inspector, J.Ed. Higgs , for New hose house of Fire Station to be built at 8th St. and Avenue north of railroad, and di- rected the Clerk to advertise for bids on same , as of date of Feb. 2nd, 1925.
