The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Monday February
2i-id. , 1925, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board , •
T�essrs ,) Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had , to-wit - -
- The Stre et Commissioner was instructed to obtain data, on the
cost of constructing fence around the filter beds at Southwest
Disposal Plant , in Earlham woods, and report.
A petition was presented for cement sidewalk on both sides of
North 14 th Street , from North ' "F" to "J" Stre et, referred to the
Engineer fcr investigation and report as to property owners .
Fire Chief E. E. Miller, reported the resignation of Clarence
Lane as City Fireman, which was accepted.
The Finaace Department was directed to ' pay to L. P. Beard Con-
struction Co. , the sum of $504.00 of the $704 .00 reserve held
under Improvement Resolution No. 640-1923, and to retain $200.00
until further orders
The matter of. installing signs over the city marking the Kiwanis
Trail, as petitioned for by the Public Affai rs Committee of said
Club, was referred to the City Planning Commission for investi-
gation and report .
The Clerk was directed to write J.L. Teegarden , as to the cost
• - of using his steam shovel in GlennMiller Park in grading roadway.
The Clerk was directed to write T.H. I. : E. Traction Co. , Engineer
in an effort to have company raise their tracks , in Grant Street;
Ridge Street ; and Southwest 3rd ' Str eet.
The Clerk was directed to notify the City Engineer, as to the
probable amount left in City Budget for City 's part of improve-
ments for 1925, approximately $9,000.00 less p4,084 .31 now due
on improvements made in 1924, or apprx. balance in appropriation
of p4,915.69 .
The Board approved the various payrolls up to Feb . 1, 1925.
Claims in amount of $9638 .21 were allowed ; as was also $50,000.00 .
ordered paid out of earnings of M.E.L.& P.P. to the plant Sinking
Find.
The Board then adjourned,
