Thursday January 29th, 1925.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board. Thursday January
29th, 1925; at 9 o` clock A. M. All the members of s aid Board ,
• Messrs , Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following
proceedings were had , to -wit : - - -
Upon the recommendation of E. E. Miller Fire Chief, and in accord-
ance with report of Underwriters. The Board in order to strengthen

the- distribution system. Directed and ordered the Richmond City
Water Works Co. , to lay the fo llowing additio nal mains , viz : -
10" Main South "G" Street from S . 10 to 5th Street ;
6" Mains , South 5th Street , 350 ' South of S. "E" Street to 144 '
north of North line of North "G" Street ; South "H" Street , from
South 5th to 6th Street; liberty Ave . , South "H" to "I" Street ;
Northwest 4th Street ; Richmond Ave . to . Chestnut Street ; Northwest
. 2nd Street , State to Center .Street ; and S" Main •in State Street
from Boyer to Northwest 2nd Street, making additional extensions
of 2125 ' 10" Mains ; 750 ' 8" Mai ns ; and. 2075! 6" Mains . •
. The Board received bids for furnishing and applying 20,000 gallons
Tarvia "B" on city str eets as follows, to--wit : -
" Hayes Constructie n Co., Inch anapolis , Indiana , bid. :
Furnish & Apply Tarvia "B" $0.15.2.5 per gallon, 2 discount 10
days .
The bid. of Hayes Construction being the only bid received, the •
contract was so awarded.
The Board. directed the Finance Department to pay to L. P. Beard
Construction Co., 0435 . 52 reserve retained under Improvemat Reso-
lution No. 641 -19 23 .
In matter of petition for light at Southwest 4th & "E" Street;
upon the recommend ation of Sup' t. , Hess , light not ordered.
The Clerk was directed to forward. contracts , to various persons
in outlying die tri cts of the City , for signatures agreeing to
compensate the City for resrond ing to alarms of fire in said.
districts. to the amount of 050.00 per company for every alarm
responded to , and $50 .00 per company for every hour after the
1st hour, and to have at all times on deposit with the Controller
• the sum of 350.r0, to cover the call in each of the 14 distri cts .
