Monday January 26th , 1925.
The Beard of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in
regular sessi on at the office of said Board Monday January 26th , tit
1925, at 9 of cl ack A. M. All the membe rs of Said Board Messrs , Land,
McFall and Henley being present . The fo11owing proceedings were had,
too-wit : -
The Clerk presented notice served on City of accidental injuries
. sustained by Cathe ri ne Kirchenbauer by slipping on icey sidewalk
December 23rd , 1924, in front not 529 south 5th Stre et, notice served
January 22nd , 1925, referred to City Att orney.
Permission was granted Richmond Lumber Co. , to re®bui ld under private
contract the alley intersection at their property between Chestnut
Street and P. C. C. & St. L. Ry. ,

The Clerk notified the Board under the resolution passed by Council
the-Judge of Wayne County , Indiana., Circuit Court, had appointed
John F. Davenport , C . W. Kramer and J. H. Lichtenfels as appraisers
to appraisers the old buildings of the ci ty' s , on south side of
Richmond Ave , and east of Randolph Street, known as the Atkinson' s
property, with a view of sell ing the same & removing from the ground.
A petition for arc light at Southwest "E" & . 4th Streets , was pres-
ented and referred. to Sup' t., of Light Plant for investigation.
The Boa. rd app ointed Charles L. Davis , as a member of City Fire
Depart men t
The Sup' t. , of M. E. T.. & P. P. was directed to cancel his order
with the Crouse-Hinds Traffic Signal Co., for traffic signal system.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.753-1925,
for improvement of South 20th Stre et , by constructi ng cement side- .
walks, curb , autters , grading & pavi ng roadway with one of the fol-
lowing kinds of pavements ; Sheet Aspha It , Bituminous Macadam ; Re-
inforce d Concrete or Rock Asphalt ; also , planti ng of trees and seed-
ing lawn spaces, from Reeve ston Road to South "E" Street.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 75i -1925
for- improvement of South 19th Street , by constructing cement side-
walks , curb , gutter and grading & paving the roadway wi th one of
the follow ng kinds of, pavements; Sheet Asphalt ; Bituminous Macadam;
Re-info reed Concre to or Rock Asphalt ; also , planti ng of trees and
seeding the lawn spaces, from Reeve ston Road to South "E" Stre et.
The Board unanimously adopted Impro vement Resolution No. 755-1925,
for improvement of the alley between North "H" "I" Street, by
constructing cement roadway , from North 8th to 10th Street.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 756 -1924,
to improve alley between South 16th & 17th Street, from South "A"
Street to Main Street ; al so , alley 1st south of Main Stre et from
South 16th Street east to alley, by concrete roadway

The Board unanimously adopted Improvement 'Resolution No. 757 -1925
for improvement of Crosshall Street, by constructing cement side--
wa1kk on both sides of street , from Grant to School Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 759-1925 .
to improve SW. 2nd Street , by constructing cement curb , gutte.r &
sidewalk on east side of street at vacated Howard Street.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 760 -1925,
to improve National Road, by construe ting cement sidewalks , curb
& gutter and grading & paving roadway Wi th Sheet Asphalt ; Rock-
Aspha.lt ; Bituminous- Macadam or • also the plant-
ing of tre et s & seeding lawn spaces from Southwest 1st to 2nd Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 762-1925,
to improve the alley between Southwest 9th & 10th Street, by concrete
roadway , from Southwest "A" Street to the 1st alley north of Nat-
ional Road running east & west.
- The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 763-1925,
to construct Stonn Sewer Outlets , at South "B" & 2nd St ; to C .& 0.
R.R. ;al,so from present outlet at South "C" & 2nd Street to connect
wi th 24" sewer west of 2nd ' Street & "D" St, south of Starr Piano
Co. concrete building to river.
- The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 764-1925.
to improve Reeveston Road , by planti ng of trees on both sides where
suitable trees do not now exist , spaced at su ch di stance and of
such type to be selected by said Board , from South 18th to 23rd St.
The Board unanimously adop to d Improvement Resolution No. 765-1925,
to improve South 18th Street , by planti ng trees on both Sides,
from South "B" to "E" Street .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 766-1925,
-- to improve South 19th Stre et , by planti ng trees on both sides,
from South "B" to Reeveston Road .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 767-1925
for the improvement of South 21st Street , by planting trees on
both sides, from South "B" t "E" Street .
- The Board unanimously ad.opte Declaratory Resolution No. 182-192.5,
providing for the widening of South "I" Street, to a width of 40ft. .
from South 9th Street east to east terminal of street .
The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 183-1925,
provi.dng for the widening of South "J" Street to a width of 50 ft ;
fro-m South 9th Street ro center line of Section 4, Twsp . 13 , Rnge / '
1-west .
Claims in amount of ti 6648 .80 were allowed.
The Board then adjourned,
