The Board of Publ is Works. of the City of ni chmond , Indi aria, met
in regular s:essi on in the offi ee of said Board on Thursday Jan-
uary 15th , 1925, at 9 o T cl ock A. M. Messrs, McFai 1 and Henley
present; absent , Mr. Land , two members of said Board being pres-
ent. The following pro ce edi ngs` w ere had , to -wit : -
The Board authorize Chas. Lyons , Street Cominissi oner ..to attend
the annual road school to be he ld at Purdue University, the week
of January 19th , 1925, his legi. time.te expenses to be paid out of
Street Department Misce llaneo us. expenses. .
Mr. D. C: Hess, Sup' t . , of the Municipal Electric Lighting &
-P ow er Plant , repor fed- as to lights petitioned for and re fe rre d
to him `as follows ; With further reference to Mr. Browns request
at last session of Council, please be advi. sed , that I recommend
arc lights as follows : corner of Boyer & Charles Street; at the
intersection of Linden Avenue and Northwest 5th Stre et; also ,
at corner of Rat tiff & Harris Street ; with reference to Mr. Ford' s
request , please be advised that there is already an arc at corner
of North "F" & 24th Streets . On mot ion the re commendatio n of Mr.
Hess was approved and lights ordered insta lle d.
The Board recei ved report of inspection of boiler at City Hall
from The Travelers Insurance Co . repor ti ng the same as far as
could be ascertained from an external inspection to be in good
condition. Safety valve adjustment not in excess of 15# no ex-
ternal indications of overheating , strain, -leakage or defects .
Inspection made Jan. 2, 1925, by E.H. Wagner.
The Clerk was directed to have Police Department serve notice
on The Gennett Theatre Co. , to have down-snouts arranged to 'es--
to p water from running across sidewalk on North "A" Stye et side
of Washington Theatre Building .
The Board approved various payrolls to date inclusive.
Claims in amount of $5096 .43 were allowed & ordered pal d.
