Thursday December 18th, 1924.
• The Board. of Public 'Works of the City of Aichmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday December
18th, 1924, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board ,
Messrs, Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following pro-
ceedings were had , to-wit :- - -
The Board directed the Finance Department to pay to Isenbarger &
Jessup, Contractors under Improvemait Resolution No. 669-1923
S259.05 of the 5$309.05 retained on said improvement retaining
450 .00 unti 1 further notice .
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution No. 737-1924, for sanitary sewer begin-
ning in the alley betw e en Southwest 1st & 2nd Street, thence west
in vacated Howard Street to alley between Southwest 2nd & 3rd St.
thence north & south in said alley ; the Board accepted the same
and order assessment roll prepared.
The Board met • to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Dec ;aratory Resolution No. 181-1924, to open a 40 '
Street in Plat #1 estate of Sarah Moffitt 1pts 4 & 5 and part of
3 to be known as "Lucky Drive ": After hearing all persons inter-
ested who appeared (no one appearing ) and being informed that Mr.
S.K.Morgan who is plating the ground surrounding , that his inten-
tion is to lay out a 40 foot street, the Board continued hearing
on said resolution to January 8th , 1925 .
The Board discussed "Traffic Signal System" , with Chief Eversman
and D.C.Hess Sup' t. , Light Plant , and instructed Mr. Hess to wire
the Crouse-Hinds Co. , Syracuse , N.Y. to hold up shipment on the
suspension type lights until investi gation has been rad.e as to
pole system.
The Board allowed claims to amount of y 9420.13 .
The Board approved various payrolls to December 16th, 1924.
