Thur slay- December llth , 1924.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular sessi on at the- offi ce of said Board Thursday Decembe r
1 1th , 1924, at 9 o` cl ock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs,
Land , McFail and Henley being present. The following proceedings
were had, to-wit : _ •

The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed on account of the improvement of Southwest "D" Street,
by constructi ng cement curb , gutter & sid ewalk on both sides of
street , and grading & paving the roadway with gray el & macadam,
from Southwest 1st Street to the West Corporation Line , under Im-
provement j(eso lution No.74.-1924. No one remonstrating the Board
approved final assessment ro11 confirming the original assessment
ro 11 as heretofore approve d, and now direct the same be forthwith
transmitted to the Department of Finance .
The Health Department Secy. , Dr. Chas. E. Duf fin, reported that
in course of time a sewer should be constructed in the alley be- -
tween North 16th & 17th Street from "G" St. to the river, and re-
commended that this improvement Could be deferred until more houses
are constructed on east sid e of the all ey , on motion the report
was concurred in.
- A report from the City Plan Commission, recommending the annexati on
of certain territory south of the city, was received and referred
to the City Attorney , for proper ordinance annexing to the city
- the territory mentioned, and present the same to the Common Coun-
cil of the City , for their consideration and passage .
Street Commissioner Chas. Lyons , repo rte d that the app ro xime t e
cost of pai nting the Stop Signs , on ci ty streets for the seas on
1924, was 0115.00 for paint ; Labor '50100. or total of 0416 .00
