Monday December 8th, 1924.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond Indiana , met
in regular .session at the office of said. Board Monday December 8th
1924, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs,
Land , McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : -
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any of persons primarily •
assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 720-1924,. for improvement
Northwest 6th Street in Sedgwick Place. , by cement sidewalks, C.& G.
with bituminous roadway. No one remonstrating, the Board approved
a final assessment roll as heretofore approved, and now, direct the
same be for thwith transmitted to the Department of Finance.
The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons primarily as-
sessed under Improvement Resolution No. 721-1924, for improvement
of South 21st Street, by grading & paving roadway with bituminous
macadam, from Reeveston Road to South"E" Stre et , .no one remonstrat-
• -ing the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the asses-
sment roll heretofore approved, and now direct the same be transmit-
ted forthwith to the Department of Finance.
The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons primarily as-
sessed under Improvement Resolution No. 747 . -1924, for cement side-
walks on North 16th Street from North "F" Street to River bank ex-
cept hwere already laid, no one remonstrating the Board approved a
final assessment roll confirming the assessment roll heretofore ap-
proved, and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the
Department of Finance .
The Board t.et to hear remonstrance if any, of persons primarily as-
sessed under Improvement Resolution No. 742-1924, for the improve-
ment of Ratliff Street , by cement sidewalks , curb & gutters and
paving roadway with gravel and macadam , from School to Stevens St.
No one remonstrating, the Board approved a final assessment roll
confirming the original assessment roll as heretofore approved ,
and now order the same be transmittted forthwith to the Department
of Finance .
The Board approved a primary assessment roll of benefits & damages
under Declaratory Resolution No.180-1924, for vacating portion of
alley between NW.6th 8c 7th. Stre et , from Peacock Road south
The following recommendation from the City Engineer was received
and on motion adopted as follows: - If' view of the complaints. re-
garding the repair of trenches & parti cularly the refilling of them
I respectfully recommend that the final cover for the preliminary
filling be either heavy plank placed inch below the surface of
pavement of a 4 inch layer of rock asphalt be used. Clerk directed
to no ti fy Str e et Commissioner.
The Board direct the Finance Department to pay to Z.B.Pyle Co.
576 .45 of the reserve held under Resolution No. 617-1922.
Claims in amount of 6'15, 619 .86 wer allowed & ordred paid.
