The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said. Board Thursday December 4th, 1924 , at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land, McFai1 and Henley being present.. The following proceedings were had , to-wit : - The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons primarily - assessed as benefits & award of damages in matter of opeing the alley 1st east of Northwest 5th Street , from Linden Avenue to Maple Street under Declaratory Resolution No. 179-1924. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, and listening to a verbal protest of er- Geo. Ellis , regarding the award of damages to his property, the Board being duly advised in the premises and Mr. Ellis having been asked to present a request for re-assessment on said benefits and damages, which he declined to. do . The Board approved a final assessment roll of benefits & damages as heretoe - . fore approved, and ordered the same transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance , and the Board thereupon declare said alley opened to the public use The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected by the vacation of a part of the alley between North- west 6th & 7th Street, from Peacock Road to a point 134.98 feet south , as provided under Declaratory Resolution No. 180-1924. After hearing all persons interested who appeared, the Board on motion confirm the resolution as heretofore adopted. And now direct that a list or roll be prepared of all property owners beneficially affected, which listbor roll shall also describe the property here- in sought to bp taken or to be injuriously affected. Fire Chief Miller was directed, to order Maple flooring for No. 5 Hose house , firemen to lay the floor. Mr. Miller was directed to have the four hose wagons painted at price of 050.00 each. Air. ,McFall was directed to enter into contract with the Indiana Calking Company to have the windows on city bui lding calked at price of100.00 for all, same to be paid in 1925.
