The Board of Public Works. of the City of Richmond: , Indiana , met •
in regular session at the - office of said Board Thursday November
20th ,- 1924, at 9 o` clock A. M. All 'the members of said Board ,
, Me.ssrs , Land, McFail and Henley being .present . The following pro-
ceedings were had , to-wit : -
The Board signed agreement by and between the City of Richmond add
: . : . i , , the Pennsylvania Rai lroad Co. , as approved by ordinance passed by
Council November 17 , 1924,in matter of Lots 10 & 11 I. E. Jones
Addition, to erect & install Hose House on said lots.
- The Board held a, conference with some of -the lot owners abutting
. - on Lucky Drive and New Paris Pike , in- matter of making said drive
- 40 ft . - wide instead of 30ft wide as proposed in plat of S. . K. IIor-
gan. The property could not or would not give consent to making
the driveway 40ft. wide, and the Board unanimously adopted Declara
tory Resolution No. ' 181,-1924, to open a 40ft. Street in Plat it
• estate of Sarah Moffitt Lots 4 and 5 and part of 3; to be known as
Lucky Drive-.
- The City Civil Engi neer reported. the completion of contract under
Improvement resolution No. 743-19 24. For improvement of Southwest
"D" Street , by constructing cement . curb ,gutter, 5 ' sidewalk on both
_ sides of street and grading & raving the roadway with gravel & macad-.
am, from Southwest 1st Street to the West Corporation Line , the.
. Board accepted same , upon verbal, agreement made by J.F.Hipskind
• - contractor , that he .would take care of any defective work . .
The -Board. renew contract. with Varney Electric Supply Co. , for West-
.inghouse Transformers to Jan., 25,. 1926. _
The Board contract with J.E. Larkin Co. Dayton, Ohio , for 500 feet
"Bay State " D. J. 22" Fire Hose a $1.20 per, foot.
The Clerk reported various matters referred to Board at last session
of Council, upon the recommendation of Sup' t . Light Plant, the Board
decides no need for an arc light at West end. of SW. "D" Street .
The Board directed the Clerk to notify the City Attorney, they were
opposed to • any increase of rates to Richmond City 'later Works , as'
the report of test made ,shown not sufficient water at certain
fi re hydrants in the City.
`- , The Board received bids for Air Compressor for M.E.L.& P.P. ' as fol-
lows , to -wit : -
