Board Monday November 10th, 1924, at -9 o'clock A. M. Ali the members of said Board , Messrs, Land, :McFall and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had , to-wit : The Boari met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons. primarily assessed on account of wi_d ening of the alley between South 16th & 17th Street,. from• South "A" Street to 1st alley south of Main Street, under 'Declaratory Resolution No. 178 -1924. After hearing objections to amount of benefits and damages on account of Tract-489 owned by Mary Ann Motrow , also as to sewer connections of Wm. 0.& M.Wissler. the Board continued said hearing to Thursday November 13th, 1924, until further investigation of conditio ns by said Board . The Board directed John F. hipskind contractor to conne ct up the paving work being done on N. W. 5th • Street with Center Street and - the City will pay the extra cost above that°in his contract for said pa vi ng. The Street Commissioner was directed to place cinders in alley in rear of 837 & 839 South 6th Street at a manhole which extends up in said alley. A petition for sewer in alley between North 16th & 17th Stre et,from North "G" St. to River, was received and heed for' iivesti gation. J. E. White , requested more lights be placed on Doran Bridge , held for investi ga.tion. • • The Bzotrti City Civil Engineer, reported the completion of contract under Improvement Resolution No. 720 -1924. • The City Civi 1 Engi neer, reported comple do n of contract under Im- provement Resolution No. 747 -192.4. The Board directed the Sup' t. of Light Plant, to install Mushroom traffic light at North "D" & 5th Street, and directed the Clerk to order 2 new non-breakable gl obes for said 'lights. The Board granted permission to Paoli. Conti, to tap sewer at corner 3rd and Southwest "D" Street, under supervision of City Engineer. The Board issued Contractors certificate No. 7, to E.B.Pyle Co. , in amount of $6938.29 being 85% of contract . The Board. directed the. Finance Department to pay E.A.Mari ani , con- tractor under improvement resolutions as fo11ows, Resolution No. 670-1923-4122.50. Resolution No. 676=1923-- 145. 65 reserves retained. The Board apDroved payrolls to November 1, 1924. Claims in amount of $22, 548.81 were allowed. & ordered paid. The Board then a d j ourne d, rittest ; Pre st . of Board C er L Oard.
