The Board of Public Ylorks of the City of Richmond , Indi_ana, met
• in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday November
-6th , 1924, at 9 o` clock A. M. All the members of said Board. Messrs, -
Land , McFail and Henley being pr esent, the. following proceedings
were had , to-wit: - - -
The Boards requested an estimate in matter of repairing No. 5 Hose
- house in way Of new f_13or down stairs and heating plant , from
J. E. Higgs , Building Inspector .
In mat ter of repairs to sid ewalks in Richmond Avenue , the Board
▪ direct the Clerk to communicate to Council, that it would be less
expense for property owners if a new sidewalk were laid along the
• street , and rec .este d to know if Council would back up the Board
in resolution for new walks , if same is remonst rated out by the
resident property owners .

H. F. Pilgrim was granted permission to cut the- curb for dri ve-
way at 807 South 9th Stre et. ,
•
Upon the recommendation of Sup`t. of Light Plant , the Board order-
ed Arc lights placed at 4th & Southwest "D" Street , and on South ,
llth & 12th Streets , between 'Main and South "A" Street. •
The Sup` t. of Light Plant was Ldirected to ' install a Trafficon or
Turtle at corner of 5th & North "A" Street.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for "Air Compressor"
- for use of Municipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant.

The Board si gned contract wi th Castner, Curran & Bullitt inc. ,
for one car of coal per day fair Municipal Electric Lighting &
Power Plant , at 01.00 per ton to' Jan. 1, 1925, and $1.10 per ton •
from Jan. 1, to April 1 , 1925.-
• The Board received notice afo': injuries sustained by Everett
Kriser on 26th of August, 1924, by reason *of coming in contact
with an electric wire of the Municipal Electric Lighting & Power
Plant , which was near the gro und, 'and. cl a iming damage s in the
amount of 10,000.00, notice and claim was fi led by Cornelius. R.
Richardson and Henry U. Johnson his attorneys , the same was re-
- (erred to the City Attorney and Sup't. less of the Light plant
for investigation and report.

- The City Civil Engineer, reported the completion of the following
contuacts. under resolutions named, to -wit : -
Improvement iiesoluti.on No. 721-1924, for improvement of South 21st
Street , by paving road way wi th asplia it,from Reeveston Road to "E" ST.
Improvement Resolution No.742 -1924, for improvement of Ratliff St.
by cement curb , gutter, sid ewalk & paving roadway wi th gravel ham
and macadam, from School to •Stevens Stre et.
The Clerk was directed to request the Str eet Car Co. to remove the
depression from intersection of. Main & 8th Stre et, while making
repairs at this corner.

The Board met to he ar remonstrances, if any of::lp erso ns primarily
assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 665-1923, for the improve-
ment of South 20th Street , by construe ti ng cement sidewalks, curb
and gutter, parkways and paving the roadway with Tar via-macadam
from Reeve ston•Road to South "B" Street. No one remonstrating or
appearing , the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming
the original assessment roll heretofore approved, and direct the
same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance .
The Board met to he ar remonstrances if any, of persons promari ly
assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 694-1925, for the improve-
went of South "A" Street, by resurfaci ng the roadway with Bituminous
macadam , from South 2nd to 5th Street,. No one appe ari ng or rem onstrat
Ing, the Board approved a final assessment roll confirming the ori-
ginal assessment ro11 heretofore approved, and now dir ect the same
be transmitted forthwiti to the Depart menu. of Finance .

The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed under Improvement Resolutio n No.715-1924, for the improve -
ment of South 18th Street , ,by grading and paving the roadway wit h
Tarvia-macadam, from Reeve ston Road to South "E" Stre et. No one ap-
pearing or remonstrating . The Board approved a final assessment roll
confi rming the original assessment ro11 as heretofore approved and
now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the Department of
Finance .
The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed under Improvement Resolution No. 745-1924, for the improve-
ment of the 1st alley west of Sheridan Street , by constructing a
cement roadway the full width thereof , from John to Shexman•Street.
No one• appearing or remonstrating. The Board app roved a final as-
sessment roll confirming the origi nal assessment roll heretofore
approved, and now direct the same be forthwith transmitted to the
_ Department of Finance .
