HomeMy Public PortalAboutM 2014-07-15 - LSACITY OF LYNWOOD AS SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY REGULAR MEETING JULY 15, 2014 The City of Lynwood as Successor Agency to the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency of the City of Lynwood met in a regular meeting at Lynwood City Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road on the above date at 6:37 p.m. Mayor Castro presiding. Council Members Alatorre, Santillan -Bess, Solache, Hernandez and Castro were present. Also present were City Manager Withers, City Attorney Garcia, City Clerk Quinonez and City Treasurer Yolanda Rodriguez Gonzalez. City Clerk Quinonez announced that the Agenda had been duly posted in accordance with the Brown Act. PUBLIC ORAL COMMUNICATIONS (Regarding Agenda Items Only) NONE CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Council Member Santillan -Beas, seconded by Mayor Castro to approve the consent calendar and to receive and file staff reports. APPROVAL OF THE WARRANT REGISTER RESOLUTION NO. 2014.118 ENTITLED: RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL AS SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ALLOWING AND APPROVING THE DEMANDS AND WARRANTS Council reconvened from closed session at 7:01 p.m. CLOSED SESSION Item #3. WITH RESPECT TO EVERY ITEM OF BUSINESS TO BE DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 54956.9 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION Initiation of litigation pursuant to subdivision (c) of Section 54956.9 Number of Cases: One No reportable action was taken. WITH RESPECT TO EVERY ITEM OF BUSINESS TO BE DISCUSSED IN CLOSED SESSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 54956.9 CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL — EXISTING LITIGATION (subdivision (a) of Government Code Section 54956.9) 1. Name of Case: City of Lynwood v Barry Ross, Trustee of the Louis Ross and Alice Ross Family Trust et.al. U.S. D. C. Case No. CV11 -02207 AHM U Mayor Castro made a motion, seconded by Council Member Santillan -Beas, approved unanimously, to authorize council to evaluate mechanisms to transfer real property and other assets of the Ross trust, so that the city can facilitate transfer of the real property.
