Monday October 13th , 19 24.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indi ana , met
in regular session at the office of said. Board Monday October 13th-,
19 24,- at 9 o clock A.M. All the membe rs of said. Board. Messrs, Land,
McFall and Henley being present . The foll owing proceedings were. had,
to-wit :

. The City Civil Engineer reported the' completio n .of contract under
Improvement Resolution No. 665-1923, for the improvement of South
20th Street, by constructing cement sidewalk1 5®wide , curb .& gutter
driveways and parkway retaining curb; grading parkways, roadways
sidewalks and paving the roadway with tar via macadam surface on 8"
rolled stone base , from Reeve ston Road to South "B" Street. The
same was accepted & assessment roll ordered.
The City Civil Engineer reported the. completion of contract under
Improvement Resolution No. 745-1924, for the improvement of the
alley 1st west of Sheridan Street, by constructing cement roadway
the full width thereof, and bringing sewer connections to the lot
line , from John to -Sherman Stre et , the Board acc epte d the same and
ordered assessment roll prepared.
The Board met to hear all pe rso ns interested, or whose property
is affected by the improvement of Johnson Street, by constructing
a cement curb & gutter on the scuth side thereof, running from
North 2nd Street west ab otu 400 feet more or less, under Improve
ment Resolution No. 751 -1924. No one app ear ing or remonstrating
the Board decided that the bene fits to prop erty liable to be as-
sessed. for said improvements are equal to the cost of same as re •
-
ported by the City Civil Engineer and thereupon take final action
. on the re so lutio n, the same being confirmed without modification.
The Clerk was directed to notify the T.H. I.& E. Traction Co, to
raise their high tension wires crossing Southwest 1st Stre et at
National Road, as the sane are dange rous to traffic .
The Board then adjourned ,
