Monday August 25th , 1924.
The Board of Public Worl of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office . of said Board Monday. August 25th,
1924, at 9 O' clock A. E. All the members of said Board Messrs
Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following _proceedings
were had , 'to-wit : -
In matter of request for electric light in North "B" Street between
North 12 th & 13th Street , the Board deem it a bad practi ce to place
lights in center of block , request not granted.

Veterans of Foreign Wars , were granted permission_ to cut into side-
walks for placing of flag-staffs. The Board ordered holes cut into
walk in front of City Building for flag-staffs.
The Board approved a primary assessment roll , for the improvement
of North 20th Street , from Min to -North "E" Street , under Improve -
ment Resolution No. 698-1923.

The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contracts as fol-
lows ; - Improvement resolution No. 712-1924, for paving of West 5th
Street , from National Road. to Richmond Avenue, with asphalt .
Also , Improvement Resolution No. 732-1924, for improvement of the
alley between North 17th & 18th Street , from North "C" to "E" Street .
Also , Improvement Resolution No. 727-1924, for improvement of North
19th Street , by paving the roadway with Asphalt, from North "E" to
"G" Street and cement curb & gutters , from railroad bridge to "G"
Street .
The Clerk was directed to notify Mr. Shelley, to remove gasoline
_pump from the Street in Elm Place , between 9th & 10th Street.

The Clerk was directed to notify The "G" &"G" Wrecking Co. , to file
• their bond for operating curb pump at 262 Fort-Wayne Avenue , or
remove said pump.
In matter of letters mai led to the prop erty owners at the corners
of Main & 6th , 7th , 9th & 10th Streets , Mr. Shiveley, Murray,
Reed, refuse said permission, J.F.Bartel & American Trust & Svgs .
Bank, tentati vely grant said permission.
