Thursday August 21st ,19 24.
- The Board of Publie Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday August
21st , 1924, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board ,
Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley being present. The following pro-
ceedings were had, to-wit : -
Nilnce-protunc. On Monday August 18th ,1924, Charles Lyon Street Com-
missioner, -reported that John McDivitt, one of the city's employees
while in the discharge of his duties Cleaning North "D" Street,
he was struck by .a truck , Thursday Aug. 14,329 24, about 2 P.M. and
- is suffering from a broken leg. (Dr. Hage in charge ) this accident
was referred to the City Attorney.
The Clerk reported complaints from Council as follows, needed re-
pairs to happy hollow bridge , lights in Benton Hghts .
Fred J. Wiesehahn was granted permission to cut the curb on South
"G" S1t. . bet . 9th & 10th. Sts . Lot .3, Oler & Howes, Addition.
The City Civil Engineer reported the following contracts completed;
- Under Improvement Resolution No. 673-1923, for improvement of al-
ley between North "E" & "I " Str eet, by constructing sewer and cement
roadway., from North 23rd to 24th Street . •
"Under Improvement Resolution No. 738-1924, for improvement of al-
ley between North 19th & 20th Street, by cement roadway from North
"C" to "D" Street-
"Under Improvement Resolution No. 74.4-1924, for improvement of al-
ley between North "F" St. and Glen Ave . by cement roadway from
North 21st to 22nd Street . same were accepted and assessment roll
- ordered.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 749-1924
to improve the alley between Southwest 4th & 5th Street; by con-
structing cement roadway from Southwest "D" Street , north to the
north terminal ; thence east to Southwest 4th Street.
The City Engineer, submitted letter written to Richmond. Light', Heat
- & Poorer Co. , regarding said company extending their mains in South
15th Street from "A" to "B" in said. "B" St, from 15th to 2nd & in
South2nd from "B" to Main Street . The letter of the Engineer was
approved and permission granted said company, provided, mains are
located under the supervision of the City Civil Engineer.
The Board then adjourned ,
