Thursday August 7th , 1924.
The Board of Public •Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in
regular session at the office of said Board Thursday August 7th , 1924,
at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land , Mc-
Fai l and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had ,
to-wit - - - -

The Board. appointed Messrs , T. W. Hadley , Jesse A. Bailey & Garftteld
Dixon, to appraise the damages incidental to the proposed widening
of the alley between South 16th & 17th Street, from South "A" Street
north to 1st alley south of Main Street.
The City Civil Engineer, reported the sums retained on various im-
provement contracts due as follows , and recommended their payment ;
as follows, to wit :
" Resolution No. 672-1923, Cement roadway in lst alley south of North
"C" Street , from North 6th to 7th Street , Z. B. Pyle Co. , contractors
amount due 5 35.56
" Re•soluti.on No. 674-1923, Cement roadway in alley between North 19th
& 20th Street, from North ."F" Street to Glen Avenue , E. A. Marian_i
contractor , amount due $'122.77
Resolution No. 658-1923, Cement curb & gutter & 6' walk of South "B"
Street, from South 21st to 23rd Street , Daniel G. Burkhardt , Contract-
or , amount due 1)139 .45
Resolution No. 657-1922, Storm water sewer in. South "C" Street, from
South 2nd to 4th Street, John F. Hip skind , contractor,amount-$98 .27
Resolution No. "651-1922, Cement roadway 1st alley north of Main, 21st
to 22nd St. & All between North 21st & 22nd Street, from 1st alley
north of Main to North "C" St. D.G.Burkhardt , contractor, amount clue
-$167 .90
" Resolution No. 671-1923, Cement curb & gutter on both sides of
South llth Street , from South- "E" to "G" Stre et, Z. B. Pyle Co. ,
contractors , amount due $100.22
The Board after viewing the same , directed the Finance 11epartment
the amounts due & retained on above improvement contracts .
The Board directed the Clerk to notify, W. Graves , Chief Engineer
of the ,T. H. I. & E. Traction Co. ,that - the additional cost of laying
brick stretcher along their tracks in West 5th Street, is $200.00
and the City will pay one half of said additional cost $100 .00 the
Traction Co. , to bear one half of said additional cost.
The Board then adjourned,
