Thursday July 17th , 1924.
The Board of Public works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday July 17th,
1924. .at 9 o' clock A. M. A11 the members of said Booard_ , Messrs ,
Land , McFall and Henley Being present . The fo 11owi ng proceedings

The Board received communication from 0. J. Larkin Contractor un7
der, Improvement i"esclutiori No. 703-1924, assigning and transf.er-
ri ng said contract to Daniel C. Burthardt , the Board accepted the
same , and order the letter attached to the proceedings under said
improvement .The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of the above con-
tract under Improvement Resolution Igo . 703-1924-, for cement roadway
in the alley between South 7th e, 8th Street , from South "L" Street
-- north to the alley thence east to South 8th Street . The Board ac-
- cepted the same and order assessment roll prepared.

The Board entered into an- agreenEnt with the 1,utomotive Gear V;orks
Inc . through their_ Sec;T. , Joe Burke , the City agrees to to cause
an, order to iesue to Fire Chief , directing that the Fire .Department
respond to all fi re alarms recei ved from said Gear a,orks , and said
Gear hooks agrees to pay to the City the sum of ; 25.00 per company
• ' responding to alarm of fi re at their plant and 25.00 per company
for each adcliti onal or fraction of an hour , agreement to terminate
August 31 st , 1924. . -

i'Ihereas, it is not feasab le at this time to construct sewer for
the territory in Northwest ern portion of City east of Butler Street.
The Board. on motion grant a 1.1:f.- Bundy, the right to tap residences
being constructed by him and. run the sewage to cess-pool to be in--
_ stalled by him wi- th an over-flow to the river bank, the same to be
constructed and installed under the supervision of the City Civil
Lng-i neer •of the City .
_C1air_r, in amount_of 54. 15 were allowed and ordered paid.
The Board approved the various payrolls to July 16th , 1924.
