The Board of Public Works of the City of hichmond , Indi ana , met in regular sessi on at the office of said Board, Monday July 14th , 1924, at 9 o' clock A. I` . Messrs , Land, & McFall present . Mr. Hen- ley bei ng absent . Two members of said Board being present . The following pro ceedi ngs were had , to-wit : - -- - The- Board received report of the Travelers Insurance Company, cn - the inspection made on boile-r in City Hall basement, reporting the same in safe operati ng condi ti on for a mixumum pressure not in excess of 15 lbs . and requesting that the current pressure certifi cate be posted under glass in the boiler room or near the - boiler in full view of the operator: . . Same was presented to Fire Chief Miller, to comply with request . - A remonstrance was received si gned by 18 property owners , remon- strating against the placi ng of Arc Light on South 7th Street , be- tween South "B" -8 "C" Street , and requesting that the trees be trimmed on this street , the Clerk di r. ected to forward the remon- strance to Counci aman Wa¶termann, the petiti crier for said light. The Clerk reported that a petition had been fi led Friday July 11, before 10 o' clock A.M. within the ten day period, for the paving of North 19th Street , from Main to North "C" Street , .Under Improve- ment i-Le soluti on No. 736 -1924, _for- both Asphalt and Concrete pave- ment, which he had referred to the Lngi neeri ng -Department for in- .- vestigation and report. The I ngi neer. ing Lepartment reported there - 3)8 resident property owners residing along the line of the improve- ment 27 of whom had signed for Sheet lisphalt pavement , and 1_1 for Concrete , the rnaj on ty of the resident property owners having signed petiti on for 'jheet Asphalt pavement. The Board thereupon award the contract to The Andrews Paving Co. , as per their bid received June 30th , 1924, under said above Improvement mLesoluti on No. 73 6--1924. The Clerk was directed to request Mr. G.F.Barry Sup.` t of Penn. R.E. system to arpear at the meeting of Board together with Engineer. Hocigin Thursday July 17, 1.92 4 , 9 A. M. level Mr. J. F. La,rtel was granted pe i issi on to ?SE, the parkway in South 17th Street in =Leeveston. and use the di rt to fi 11 his lot . The Board received protest from A. C. Underhi 11, on account of dif-- • ferent improvements which affect his property , same. was fi led. Matter of deli. cacti on of ground by the T.H. I.& E. Traction Co. for -widening alley near their car shop, together wi th letter was refer- ed to the City Attorney . _ Claims in amount of 5'11 , Z48 .82 were allowed & ordered paid.
