Thursday July 10th , 192^.
The Board of -2ubl is Yorks of the City of hichmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday July 10th,
1924, at 9 o ' clock A. H. All the members of said Board, Messrs ,
Land, McPai 1 and• Henley bei ng present , the following proceedings
were had , to-wit :

In mat ter of improvement under improvement hesoluti on No. 741-1924.
providing for the improvement of 'the alley betvieen South 14th &
15th . Street, by constructing cement roadway from South "D" to "E"
Street , remonstrance against which improvement was filed on June
26th , 1924, and referred to the city ci vil engineer, the engineer
reported there are 30 resi dent property owners residing along the
improvement 13 of whom have• signed a remonstrance , this being less
than a maj ority of remonstrators , the Board after viewing the al-
ley proposed to be improved, continue hearing on said resolution
to some future date after the 1st of January 1923.

The Clerk reported various complaints made to council and ref_er-
ed to the Board , and the' same referred to the different depart-
ments of the ci ty for attenti on.
The Board approved a contract wi th the Ameri can Legi on Band, for
Eleven band. concerts -to be held during the summer of 1924, begin-
ning Sunday July 13th , 1924.
The Board granted permission to Mrs. Bertha Eubanks , to cut the
curb for dri veway at 87 Fort-Wayne Avenue .
Mr. Hess, Sup' t. , of Light Plant reported to the Board and recom-
mended lights placed as follows , according to requ.ests made by
• members of the Common Council as follows , Arc Light at S.17.5th
u "A" Street ; West Main & 10th Street . and a 250 candle power
light at the alley first north of Main Street in North 13th Street .
The Board directed the Sup' t. , to have the . trees trimmed at cor-
ner Main & North 13th Street ; also South 7th Street between South
"B" & "C" Streets , as they believed 'lights requested between the
block was riot a very good. policy at • this time , and further recom •
-
mended that the Arc Light be placed at S.1'J. 5th• & "A" Streets.
The Clerk was directed to advertise for Peed Water heater, for M.
E.L.& P.P. under speci fleatio ns prepared therefore .
