The Board .of Public Works of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the• office of said Board Monday July 7th, 1924, at 9 o'clock A. M. All the members of said Board , Messrs , i;and. , • McFai l and Henley being present. The following proceedings were had, to-wit The Board met to hear all persons primarily assessed for the improve- ments under the Improvements Resolutions named as follows , to-wit: - Improvement Resolution No. 683-1923, for cement roadway in the al- ley between South 7th & 8th Street, from South "A" Street north . • Improvement Resolution No. 701-1924, for cement roadway in 1st al- ley south of Main from South. 22nd. to 23rd Street. Improvement Resolution. No. 702-1924, for cement roadway in the al- ley between North 16th & 17th Street , from North "Ir. to "C" Street . Improvement Resolution No.. 706-1924, for cement roadway in the al- ley between Northwest 5th & Gth Street, from Pearl Street to the Peacock Road. • Improvement Resolution No. 714-1924, for. cement sidewalk, curb & gut- ter on west- side of Southwest let Street at vacated Howard Street. Improitemen.t hesoluti o n .No. 719-1924, for sanitary sewer in North- west 6th Street in Sedgwick Place; Improvement Resolution No. 723-1924, for cement roadway in the al ley between North llth & 12th Street , from North "B" Street to the south terminal of the al ley . After hearing• all- persons who appeared _ (no one appearing) the Board approved a final assessment roll in• each of the - above improve- ments, confi rming the original assessment ro lls as heretofore ae approved , and now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance . 0 - The Board approved the' cdnt.ra_ct _k bond of Schneider Bros , contract- • ors under Improvement Re_so luti on No-._'736-1924 Permissi on was granted Prank Gardner to construct dri veWay at 301 -Randolph Street . A copy of petition of the Richmond Light , Heat 8, Power Co. , as filed with the Public Service Commmssion of Indiana, to discontinue the . - distribution of Natural. Gas , and to fix rates for manufactured gas all effective November 1st ; 1924, which was placed on fi l e. The Board approve contract with Standard Oil Co. , for Cylinder 8: Turbine Oil for M.R.L.& P.P. The Board directed. the Engineer to lower the cross walk at Main and west side of Fort-Mayne avenue , also, instruct the Engineer. to investigate sewage conditions at city building & report . • • Monday July 7th, 1924. 0a •• The Clerk was directed to- notify The Crwaford, McGregor & Canby . • Company 'of -1ayton,Ghio, that- Mr. W. E. Morey has full charge of the Municipal Golf Course in Glen Miller Park, and is authorized to make purchase of balls, etc. , which is to be paid out of the funds derived. from the 'operation of the course ,' the City was Him standing back of Tvir. Morey for such purchases. The Board accept proposition of Ameri can Legion Band , for band concerts to 'be held in Glen Miller Park and directed the Clerk- to draw up contract authorizing 11 concerts for the sum of 1'900 .00 •3100.00 of which' is to be paid by Mr.- Jessup, concerts beginning Sunday July- 13th, -1924, and continue each Sunday and Labor Day • weather permitting, to also provide for evening concert during week. day in case any concerti is postponed on account of weather. Claims in. amount of 6956 .59 were allowed &. ordered paid. • The Board now order Mr. Hess Sup` t. , of M.E.L.& P.P. to place con- duits and electric lamp posts of the same pattern as those now E already installed in heeveston Streets, in South -18th Street and South 21st Street ,. from Reeveston Road. to South "E" Street, said . posts and work incidental to the installation of the same, to be paid for by assessment made against the ' abutting property. • • • • • -The Board then adjourned, _ Pr . of.
