The Boardi,of Public -Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana; met _ in regular session in the office of said Board Thursday June 26th, 1924, at 9 o clock A. M. All the membe rs of said Board , Messrs , -Land, McFai1 and Henley bei ng present. The following proceedings were had , to-wit : - The Board met to hear all persons interested in, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 741-1924, for the im- provement of. the = alley between South 14th & 15th Street, by con- - strutting a cement roadway, from South "D" to "E" Street . A remon- strance. signed by O.L.I,oofb ourrow et -al., having been. fi led against said improvement, the Board continue acti o n on same to Monday June , 1924, and referred the remonstrance to City Engineer for invest- igation and report. The Board met to he ar all persons interested in, or whose property is affected under Imnprovement Resolution` No. 742-1924, for the im- provement of Ratliff Street , by constructftirg cement curt , gutter & 5' sidewalk .on both sides of street , and grading and paving the roadway with gravel 8c macadam , from School to Stevens Street . A remonstrance si gne d by Samuel Wise, etal . having'\been fi-led. The - Board continue hearing on said improvements to Monday June 30th , 1924. And referred the remonstrance to Civil Erre neer for investi- gatio n and report. The Board met to hear all persons interested_ in, or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution No. 743-192.4, for the im- provement of Southwest "D" Street , by constructing cement curb ,gut - ter. & 5' sidewalk on both sides of street , and paving & gradi ng the street with gravel and macadam, from Southwest 1st Street to the' west corporation line. After hearing all persons interested who appeared , and being. fully advised in the pY emises. The Board deci de that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the cost of the same as reported by the ci ty civil engineer and thereupon take final action on sathd resolution, the same being confirmed without modification The Board met to hear all persons interested in, or whose property is of fected ;.under Improvement Resolution No. 744-1924 , for the im- progement of the all ey between North "F" Street and Glen Ave. , by constructing cement roadway from North 21st to 22nd Street. Afte r hearing all persons interested who appeared. The Board decide that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improve - ments are equal to the cost of same as reported by the ci ty civil engineer and thereupon take final action on said resolution. the same being confirmed with out modification. • The Board met _to hear all persons interested in, or whose property is affected by Improvement Resolution No. 745-1924, for the improve - inent of the 1st alley west of Sheridan Street, by constructi ng a cement roadway from John to Sherman Street . After hearing all per- sons interested who appeared and being fully advi sed in the prem- ises. The Board deci des that benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal t o the cost of same as re- porte d by the city civil engineer and_ thereupon take action on said resolution, the same being confirmed wi thout modification. Thursday June 26th , 1924 . The Board unanimously adop to d Improvement Resolution No. 747 -1924 , for the improvement of North 16th Street, by constructing a cement s id ewalk on west sick_ e of street , from North "F" Street to the River Bank. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 748-1924 , I/ . for the improvement of the all ey between South 9th & 10th Street , by constructing a cement roadway from South "C" to "E" Street . Permission was granted Frank Reed, to repair the cement sidewalk on south side of Main Street in front of I. Reed & Son Hardware Co• store . The Sup' t. , of Light Plant was directed to install a light in North 6th Street at• the first alley north of Main Str eet running from North 6th to 5th Street . ' The Clerk was directed to notify The Richmond Item and -Richmond Palladium, the Board will receive bids for adve rti sing of the City for the. year from July 1st , 1924 to June 30th , 1,925, at 10 o' clock A. M.
