Monday May 19th, 19 24.
The Board of- Public, Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met
in regular session in the office of said Board Monday May 19th ,
1924, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said. Board Messrs ,
Land 4 MoFai1 and Henley being present . The following .proceedings
were had , to -wit : - _
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
_ affected by the improvement of the alley between North 17t1i & 18th
Street , by constructing cement roadway from North "C" to "E" Street
under Improvement Resolution No. 732-1924. After hearing all per-
sons interested who appeared, a remonstrance having been filed re-
monstrating against said improvement . The Board decides that the
benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements
are equal to the cost of sane as reported by the City Civil Engineer
upon motion confirmed the resolution without modification, and re-
ferred. the remonstrance to the Engineering Lepart went for inve sti-
gali.on and report. •
The Board met to hear all persons interested or whose property is
affected under Improvement resolution No. 733-1924, for improvement
• of the alley 1st south of nation Road. from 2nd to 3rd Street and
- the alley between Southwest 2nd 8: 3rd Street , from 1st alley south
of National Road to S .W. "C" Street, by constructing cement roadway
between. the points named, the Board continued hearing on same until
the grade of said alleys is. determined,
The Board approved the contract & bond of Schneider Bros, contract-
ors under Improvement Resolution No' s. 725. & 728-'1924.
The Board approved the contract & bond of H.H.Wagner, contractor
- under Improvement Resolution No. 729 -1924
The Board grant permission to C .E.C/ai n to cut the curb at 718
West Main Street, for private driveway.
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No. 738-1924
for improving the alley between North 19th & 20th .Street , by con-
struoti ng a cement roadway from North "C" to "D" Street .
. A petition was received praying for gas min in N.W.5th Street from
PsC.C.& St.L.R.R. to _ School Street, referred to Gas Co. ,
The Clerk was directed to advertise for coal for City Building ,
Hose houses , Parks and Detention Hospital .
I The smatter of moving the 'ire Hydrant at North 7th & "A" Street,
the Board decide it should be relocated at the expense of the Oil
Company building filling station at this point.
Contractors certificates No. 1,& 2, were issued to J.I'.Hipskind,
- under contracts No. 720 -1924 & 697-1923. .
