Thursday May 15th , 1924.
• The Board of Public Works of the Lity of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said. Board Thursday May 15th ,
1924, at 9 o' clock i. M. All the members of said Board , Me s srs , •
Land , McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit :
The Sup`t., of Parks J. H. Fulle, was -directed to act in con--junc-
tion with Fred. Lemon, owner of the ground_ south of Glen Miller
Park, in matter of erecting a line fence between the nark and Mr.
Lemons property; -each party to bear one-half of the expense of
material & labor .
The Board received right-of-way to construct & maintain a sewer
over- and across real estate the same being 46..39 ' of Lot No. 24
Oliver Kinsey' s,Additicn to West Richmond , Indiana , signed by
John H. Shallenburg & Agnes C . Shallenburg his wife. The Board
accepted the same , and directed the Clerk to have right-of-way
recorded in the office of Wayne County Recorder .
The Clerk reported he had been presented With a copy- of petition
and papers connected therewith, as filed by the Richmond City Water
Works, with the Public Service Commission, referred to City Atty. ,
The Clerk reported he had received from the Public Service Commi s-
sio n of Indiana, a copy' of report -of an examinatio n of the records
of the Richmond Home Telephone Company, numbered 659 - .A4. the
sane was referred to the City Attorney .
The City Engineer reported he had employed Mr. John Mann:ix , to in-
pect Str eet improve men is wo rk being done in North "E" Str e et al so
North 21C th Street .
The Street Commissioner was directed to place cinders at bottom
of Newme:ns Hill. Also to remove excess of cinders placed in the
alley between North "E" & "F" & 23rd & 24th Streets . '
A communicatie-n from the City Plan Commission-was received re-
questing that steps be taken to widen North "E" Street in front
of Depot; referred to Engineer to take up the question with the.
Sup't. , of P. C.C.& St.L. Railway .
- Pursuant to notice given., The Board met with vario us. 'owners of
Gaso line Pumps, placed along the curb s in the ci ty, of ter ccnsid er-
able discussion on ordering the removal of said pumps , the Board
directed the ,Clerk to notify, Arbaught & Son 229 W.Main Street ;
J. Dacey No. 30 North 7th Street and Used Car Sales Co. who have
not complied with rulings of the Board in matter of keeping up
their bonds to safeguard the city , to remove the curb pumps owned
by them at the above ptaces.
