The Board of Public Works of the 6ity of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session at the office of sa id Board Thursday Apri 1 17th , 1924, at 9 o clock A. H. All the membe rs of said Board Messrs , Land_, McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were had , to-wit e - • -Permission was granted IV. Glen Hamilton, to cUt the curb on west s ide of Southwest 7th Street at side of 700 National Road , for dri veway. Permission was granted J.Vi.Han_sel , to cut the curb on South "A" Street side , in rear of 100 South 16th Street, for private dr. ive- • way . The Board met to hear all persons interested in or whose property is affected under Improvement Resolution Noe 726--1924 , for the im- provement of Boyer Street , by constructing cement s id ewalks 5' & curb & gutter on both sides of street , and grading & paving the roadway Ti th gravel & cadam , from School to Stevens Stre et . After heari ng all persons interested who appeared, they favoring a some- what nearer pe.rmaner±t pavement , the hoard continued hearing on said improvement resolution •to. Thursday .Apri 1 24, 1924, or until a new petition is fi led for improvement of said str eet . The Board met to hear all persons interested in; or whose property is affected under improvement �lesolution Nio. 725-1924, for the im- provement of South 7th Street, by constructing cement curb 8; gut- ter on both sides of street , from South "H" to "J" Street-. No one appearing and no remonstrance havi ne been fi led, the Board bei ng duly advised in the premises, decide that the benefi is to property tiab.le to be assessed for sa id improve men is are equal to the cost of same as estimated by the city Civi 1 Engi neer and thereupon take • final action on same, the resolution bei ng confirmed without modi - fi. ce.tion. Pursuant to continuance to th is day, the Board take up the hearing for the opening of. the alley between North 13th &: 14th Street,from North' "G." Street north , to the all ey, under Declaratory Resolution No. 170-.1923. The Board again continue hearing to May 1st, 1924. Pursuant to continuance to this. date . The Board meets to hear re- monstrances and take final action on Declaratory Resolution No. 175-1924, for the widening of the all ey between South 9th & 10th Street to a width of 15 feet , from South "C " to "r." Street . After carefully considering a remonstrance against said widening filed Mar oh 29t , 1924. The •Board overru le s the same , and now take s fi n-- al action _on said resolution, the same being confirmed without • modification. And the Board now orders that a list or roll be pre-- ,pa red of all the on ers or. holders of property , and of valuab le interests therein, sought to be taken or to be injuriously affec- ted, which list or roll shall also descri be the property benefi c- ially affected. The Board meets to hear remonstrances if any of persons prirrari.ly assessed on account of grading the alley 1st north of North "G„ Street , from North 14th Street west to the all ey , under Improve- ment Resolution No . 696-1923. lifter hearing all interested e p n�--rested ( over) 72 Thursday 4r11 17tn. , 1924. o appeared, the Board approved a final assessment roll as he re- tofore approved, by assessing all back ling lots and within 150 ` feet to the north of said alley as graded, and now direct the same be transmitted for thwi th to the IJepa.rtment of y2'inance . The City Civil Engi neer was directed to prepare a description of ground to be dedicated by the T.HoI.& Traction Co. , to widen the alley east of the i r car barn shop to a width of 15 feet, and present the same t0 the City Attorney for proper articles of de- dication of said ground for al 11 ey purposes. • The Cler,r was directed to advertise for Tractor for use of Street Department. Ball & Str. ebe , were grunted pe rmi ss io a? to remove the dirt from Southwest "C" Street from Southwest 4th Street west and place the same• Or their lots on Southwest 5th. Street, li:ai rig: due care so as not to get belly:: the proper grade of street . Pursuant to not ice given to the inhal itants of the City of Richmond , Indiana,and the continuance to th is date by the Board of Publ is Works . (Here insert agreement ) On which date the said Board fixed Thursday a.prii1 3,1924 ,a.t J A.M. as a date & ti me at which grant wi 11 be fi nal ly considered publ i c 11y ,at the of fi ce of said Boa rd ,and upon said grant being published & no ti ce s posted as by law provided,by said the Terre Haute , Indi anapolis & Eastern Trac- tion Co .
