The Board of Public Works of the City of yichmond , Indiana, met in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday April 10th, 1924., at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board, Messrs, Land, McFall and Henley, being present the following proceedings were had , to-wit : - Pursuant to continuance to this date , the Board meet to hear all persons interested or whose property is affected by Declaratory Resolution No. 170 -1923, providing for the opening, of the alley between North 13th & 14th Street , from North "G" Street north to alley running east & west . after hearing all persons interested in said proposed opening, the Board continued hearing to Thursday April 17th, 1924. Pursuant to continuance to this date , The Board meets to hear mkt remonstrances and take final action on Declaratory Resolution No. 1721-1924, for the appropriation,and condemnation for park purposes of a part of the Southwest 4 Section 32, Township 14, Range 1 ,West and all that part of Lot No. 39 , in the torn of Clifton laid out by E. & J. Railsback , lying south of Richmond , Indiana, and east of Randolph Street as now laid out , (See description in resolution) A remonstrance having been filed by H. U. Johnson Attorney for Milton Atkinson., remonstrating against the appropriation & condem nation of a part of Sec.32,Twsp .14,Rnge.l,West filed March 20th, 1924. After duly considering said remonstrance and being duly advised in the premises, the Board overrules the same , the Board takes final action on said resolution, confirming without modification, all former action taken on the same. And the Board now orders that a list or, roll be prepared of all ovrne rs or hold- ers of property, and of valuable interest therein, sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected , which list or roll shall al- so describe the property beneficially affected. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Aesolution No. 730-1924 for improvement of alley 1st west of North 10th Street, by cement roadway from North "I" Street north to alley running east & west. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement }teso lutio n No.731-1924 for the improvement of North 19th Street , by paving the roadway with one of the following kinds of modern city pavements ,to-wit ; Brick, Concrete , Sheet Asphalt or Rock asphalt, from North "C" to "E" Street. The Board, approved the bond of The Babcock & Wilcox Co. , covering their contract with city for installing boiler at M.E.L.& D.P. The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids for Triple Combination i+ Pumping Engine for Fire Department. The Clerk reported various complaints received from Common Council.
