Thursday 'April 3rd, 1924.
The Board of Public Works of -the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board, Thursday kpril
3rd, 1924; at 9 o' clock A. M. Messrs , Land and Henley being present ,-
Mr. McFail absent. Two members of said Board being present. The fol-
lowing proceedings were had , to-wit : -
There having been no petition filed for -improving South 21st Street,
by paving the roadway from Reeveston Road to South "E" Street, under
Improvement Resolution No. 721-1924 , other than designated by the
Board of Public Works on their meeting of March 20th, 1924. The Boar
awarded the contract for said improvement to John F. Hipskind, at
the price named in his bid submitted therefore March 20th, 1924,
- designating that said street be paved using Bituminous-Macadam.
The Board met to hear remonstrance if any, of persons interested in,
of whose property is affected by the opening of Southwest "D" Street
from Southwest 2nd to 1st Street , under Declaratory Resolution No.
176-1924. After hearing all persons interested who appeared , and be--
- ing fully advised in the premises, the Board takes final action on
said resolution, confirming without modification, all former action
taken on the same . rind the Board now orders that a list or roll be
prepared of all owners or holders of property, and of valuable in-
terests therein, sought to be taken 'or to be injuriously affected,
which list or roll shall also describe the property beneficially
affected.
The Board unan_imbusly adopted Improvement Resolution No. 729-1924,
to improve the alley between South llth & 12th Street , by construct-
ing a cement roadway, from South "A" to "B" Street.
The Board instructed E.E.Miller Fire Chief, to purchase Continental
Motor to fit i 3 Hose wagon, from Rodefeld Mfg. Co. , at price of
a455.00.
The City Civil Engineer was directed to investigate , as to the exist
ing conditions and whether sewer is needed or not, for property
abutting on the alley between South 5th & 6th Street from South "C"
to "D" Street , and report back to the Board.
The Clerk was directed to prepare a resolution to present to the
Common Council. thru Councilman Salzarulo , to, immediately take steps
to purchase Pumping Enginefor Fire Department .
The Board met to hear remonstrance if any,to tentative agreement
as filed by The T.H. I. & E. Traction Co. , for permission to in-
stall high tension wires as advertised, continued to April 14,1924.
The Board then adjourned
