The Board of Public Wort of the_ City of Richmond , Indiana , met . in regular session at the office of said Board Monday March 31st , 1924, at, 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , ; • Land , McFail and Henley bei ng present . The following pro ce edings .were had , to-wit : - The Board approved the contract and bonds of The Andrews Asphalt . Paving Co. ,. under Improvement Resolution No. 69(8-1923, improvement, of North 20th St. from Main to North "E" Street ; Improvement Reso- lution No. 707-1924, for the 'improz•,ement of North "E" Street,from . North 16tja- to 24th Street ; also Improvement Resolution No. 712-1924, improvement of West 5th Street , from National Road. to Richmond Ave ., • The Board. meets to hear all persons interested in or whose property S is affected by Declaratory ResolutionnNo. 175-1924, for the widen- ing of the alley to a width of 153it. between South 9th & 10th St. from South "C" to "E" Street ; after hearing all persons interested who appeared, and. carefully considering a remonstrance' filed against said wi d en ing, the Boa rd co nti nue d hearing on said r e so luti o n to Thursday April 17tl, 1924. The Board unanimously adopted Improvement hesolution No. 727-1924 , for the improvement of North 19th Street, by constructing cement curb & gutter from Railroad bridge to North "G" Street, and paving the roadway with one of the following kinds of modern pavements , Brick-, Concrete , Sheet Asphalt or Rock Asphalt , from North "E" to North "G" Street. • The Board unanimously adapted Improvement Resolution No. 72e-1924, for the improvement of West 3rd Street, by constructing a cement sidewalk 6' wide' on east side of said street , from Kinsey Street to the l4ati oral Road . The Board granted permission to Mrs . Chas. Fish to use City lot No. 6 , near Bridge Ave. for gardening purposes during the season 1924, upon payment of 4p6.00 to the City (for said privilege . The Board approve a contract and agreement b etre en the M.E.L. & P.P. and the Richmond Home Tele phone Company, for private branch tele- phone exchange and trunk line service between the plant and. office. The Board directed the clerk to notify Park Sup' t., J.H.Fulle, to remove the contents from the barn in Glen Miller park . Claims •in sum of '44387.56 were allbwed & ordered paid. t'.
