Thur May March 27 th , 1924.
The Boa rd of Publ is Wor ks of the City of R i ch mord , Indiana , met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday March
27 th , 1924, at 9 o clock A.M. All the mem be rs of said Board ,
Messrs , Land, McFall and Henley being present . The following
proceedings w ere had , to--wit :- - -
The Board. approved the contract and bond of John F. Hipskind con-
tractor under Improvement Resolution No. 720-1924, -N.W,6th Street.
The Board met to hear all persons interested in, or whose property
-is affected under Improvement Resolution No.724-1924, for the im-
provement of North 13th Street , by constructi ng cement sidewalk
on east side of street , cement cu rb & gutter on both sides of street
and paving the roadway wi th one of the following kinds of .pavements
- to-wit : - Brock, Concrete , Sheet Asphalt or Bituminous Macadam , from
. North "F" Stye et to the P. C. C. 8c St. Railroad tracks. No one
appearing and no rem onstrance having be ea filed.The Board being
fully advised in the premises, decide that the benefits to the
property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to
the cost of same as reported by the city civil engi neer, less the
sum the city wi 11 pay toward said improvements . (The City agrees to
pay-the cost of the str eet & all ey intersection and 10% of the
cost of curb , gutter & roadway ) . and thereupon take final action on
'said resolution the same being confirmed with out modifi cation.
The Board accepted the resignation of Ed. Rothfrom Fire Department.
The Street Commissioner Chas. Lyons ; was instructed to place cinders
en-roadway _leadi.ng to Newmans Hill.
The Board was directed to request H.A.Di_11 of the Ri hmond City
Water Works for conference in matter of supplying water to property
on North "H" Street from 10th to 11th Street , at next meeting of
Board Monday March 31 st , 1924.
Clai ms in amount of 4 21 ,073. 20 were allowed & ordered paid..
-A petition for cement sid ewalk on east sid e of W.3rd ,from Kinsey St
to National Road was received & referred to Engi neer for plans.
A pe iti on fox paving North 19th Street, from "C " to "E" was rece ived
and taken under advi sement', likewise North 19th St. from "E" to
"G" Street .
The Board then adjourned,
