Monday March 17th, 1924.
The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana ; met
in regular sgssi on at the office of said Board Monday March 17th ,
1924, at 9 o cbck A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land,
McFall and Henley being present . The following proceedings were
had, to-wit
Whereas, heretofore on March 13tti, 1924, at the regular meeting of
the Board , upon petit ion of The Edson & Wise Development Co. , of
Middletown, Ohio. sole owners of all the property to be assessed
far the improvement of Northwest 6th Street, in Sedgwi ck Place by
cons true ti ng cement s id ewalks , curb & gutter and paving the roadway
-as provided for in Improvement Resolution No. 720-1924, changed the
preliminary order he retofore designated by said Board , from Sheet
Asphalt .to Bituminous Macon am as requested in said petition, and
whereas it appears changing of said order is premature , the Board
on motion unanimously rescind their action taken on March 13th, 1924,
and postponed any furl t,er action in said matter until after the ex-
piration of the 10 day period (March 18th, 1924, 10 o'clock A.M. )
The Board fix the price for taping sewer in South "J" Street at No.
635, at y 15.00 owner of prop erty Mrs . Goudie .
A pe ti tic n to widen the all ey 1st west of Southwest 4th Street to a
width of 15 feet from 1st alley south of National Road to the south
end of Tract No. 216 , Offi alai Map, of City , was received and re-
f erre d to the Engineer for plans & resolution.
Peti tion to improve Boyer Street, by constructing cement sidewalk,
• curb & gutter on both sides and grading & graveling roadway, from
• School to Stevens Streets also for constructing cement curb & gutter
on both sid es • of South 7th Street, from South "H" to, "J" Street were
received & referred to Engi neer for plans & resolutions .
The City .Engineer repo rted the completion of contract for grading
the all ey first north of North "G" Stre et, from North 14th Street
west as provided under Improve men t Resolution 696 -1923 , the 'Board
-accepted same and order assessment roll prepared.
The Clerk was directed to prepare an ordinance requesting the ap-
.propriati.on of the sum of 17CO .00 for Scari.fiet; also Tractor.
The Clerk was directed to notify "Spring Grove Corporation" also
East End Club, the city desires to enter into new contracts at the
expiration of the existi ng contracts with said parties on Fire
protection.
The Fire Chief , reporte d that the Department made a run on Middle-
borrough Pike this A.M.
The-Board aprroved the various- payrolls to March 16th , 1924.
Claims in amount of ?1707 .30 were allowed & ordered paid .
The Board then adjourned •
