Monday March 10th , 1924 The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana, met in regu lar session at the of fi ce of said Boa rd Monday March 10th ,1924, at 9 0' c1 ock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs , Land , McFall and Henley being present , the following proceedings were had, to -wit : The Board unanimously adopted Declaratory Resolution No. 176-1924, for the opening of Southwest "D" Street , from the ea st line of Southwest Each Street to the east line of Tract No. 223, Official Map, of the City of Richmond , Indiana . For and in consideration of the payment of r1.00 , the Dickinson Trust Company Trustees, by L.W.Cox , and Sophia A. Jenkins , widow of Silas N. Jenkins , Convey and Quit -Claim to the City of Richmond, Indiana, Lot No. 58 in Jenkins Addition to the City of Richmond, Indiana, as shown by plat recorded in Plat Book 4, page 46 of the records of Wayne County , Indiana , This lot is conveyed to the City for us e of a publ ic street . The Boa rd of Publ is Works , under by virtue of the power conferred upon it by the Statute of the State of Indiana, for and on behalf of said City of Richmond , accepts said deed for the purposes named and or der that the same be recorded in the Recorders Office of -Wayne County , Indiana., and said street from the west sid e of Southwest 4th Street to the east line of the first alley running north & south, west of said 4th Street is hereby declared opened and dedicated to public use. Pb In mat ter of Deed conveying prop erty to the City of Richmond , Ind . by the E. G.Hill Co., for Park purpos es, on account of certain privi- leges mentioned in same , The Deed was referred to City Plan Commis- sion for investigation and report. The Board unanimously adopted Rules & Regulations to govern the City Fire Department, as submitted by Fire Chief. The Clerk was instructed to request City Attorney Kelley , to get a ru 1 i ng from the Publ ic Se rvi ce C ommi s s io n of Indiana , as to whether the City can compel the T.H. I.& E. Traction Co., to conftrm to the City ' s specifications as to foundations under tracks etc .., in im- proving or paving city streets under their tracks . - The Clerk was directed to request the Buffalo-Springfield Road Rol- ler Co. , to have their representative me et wi th them at the ir next meeting Thurdday A.M. • The Board app ro ved the various payro 11 s to March 1st, 1924.
