The Boa rd. of Public Iiorks• of the City of Richmond , Indi.ana, met in regular session at the offs. ce .of said. Board Thursday February 21 st , 1924, at 9 o'.clock A. M. All the members of said. Board Messrs , Land , McFai1 and Henley being present . The fe 11 owing pro- ceedi ngs were had , to -wit : - • Pursuant to continuance to this date , the Board met to hear all • persons interested or whose property is affected by the improve- ment of the alley between South ' 9th & 10th Street , by construct - ing a cement roadway from South • "As' Street to the 1st alley south • of Main Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 716-1924. After hearing all persons interested .who appeared, the Board on motion continued hearing on said resoluti o n to Monday March 3rd , 19 24. _ The Board unanimously .adopted Deals.ra.tory Resolution No. 172 -1924 • to condemn a part . of SW.guar.Sec.32,twsp .14 , nage .1,West ; and all of Lot 39 , in E.& J. Rails hack, Addition lying south Of Richmond Ave . and east of Randolph Stre et . • The Fire Chief E.E.Miller, presented the following recommendations; That Wal to r. Muye , Lieut. of No. 5 Hose Co. ,- be made Cap tai n of No. 5 Hose Co. and John Brusher,Captai n of No. 5 Hose Co. be transfer- red. to Captain No. 1, Hose Co. and Earl Mann Lieut . of ido. 1 Hose Co. be transferred to No. 5 Hose Co. as Lieutent2nt. On motion of . • Mr . Henley, the Board. accept the recommendation of Fire Chief. The Cle rk read notice to the Board given him as City Clerk of the City, notifying the 'City that on Friday December 28th, 1923, Charles Edward Benner, the five year old son of Russell Benner, residing at 162i Fort Wayne Avenue , in Richmond, Indiana , sustaffned personal injuries resulting from the defective condition of the . sid etalk .at the north side of bud ldi ng ocoupied✓ by the Railroad Store on •south sid e of North "E" Street, defective condition of • walk caul tdg said injuries being a large iron hiinget tito.foeh extended and protruded several inches above the surface of said sidewalk, attached to iron door used for ingress and egreea: to •and from the basement of said stare bu i lying . which no ti ce was filed Feb . 18 , 1924. matter was referred to City Att orney. The Clerk was directed to notify Geo . Muye pre'prietor of the Past Time Theatre , to estop the .practi ce of throwing trash into the sewer inlet in front. of Standard Oil fi lying station at North 8th and "E" Street. The City . Civil Engineer reported the appraisers Jesse A.
