Monday February llth , 1924`r.
The Boa rd of Public Works. of the City .of. Richmond , Indi ana ,met
in regular session at the office of said Board , Monday February
11th, 1924, at 9 o' cl ock A. M. Mes'srs , McFai.1 and Henley being
present , Mr. Land , absent. Two members of said. Board being pres-
ent . The following proceedings were had, to-wit : -
The Board direct the Finance. Depart merit , to accept $2, 500 .00 in
Improvement Bonds to ho ld as co llateri al in lieu of the extra 10% .
in cash retained under the contract wi th the L.P.Beard Construction
Co. under Improvement Re solutio ns ,No T s . 640 -641 -1922 , and the sum
of 2,500 .00, in cash be paid to said fi rm and the 5% on said
contracts' be retained for a period of one year or unti 1 further
notice.

The Fire Chief reported that on Jan . 27 , the fire depart meat me de
a run on the New Paris Pike east of the City .
On Feb . 2, the fire department made a run to Beau.view south of
the ci ty on the way to the fire No. 4 tru ck mired down in the mud
we were about three hours getting track out of the mud with a cost
of 6.90 to the City . The Board directed the Fire Chief, tc me.ke
a report of the different runs nade by the departmt outside of
corporate limits of the ci ty .

The Board adopted specifications submitted by Sup' t. Hess;, for
the Mundecipal Electric Lighting & Power Plant , for One 750 H.P.
Water tube boiler and Super-he ati ng Coils-, the Clerk was directed
to advertise for bids on same , bids to be received March 3rd, 1924.
The Board directed the Finance Depart meat to pay to Z.B.Pyle Co. ,
the amount of 4157:88, -retain d on improve men t of Pearl Stre et
by cement curb & gutter from 1st to 5th Stre et , work found to be
satisfactory, Improvement Resolution No. 626-1922 .
