Monday January 21st•, 1924.
The Board of Public works of the City of :ichmond , Indiana , met
in regular sessi on at the offi ce of said Board. , Monday January 21st ,
1924, at 9 o' clock A. Present , Messrs , .`email__ and Henley, Absent ,
Tyr. Land . Two members of said Board. being present. The following
proceedings were had , to-wit : -
The Board apt' roved a plat representing 33 town lots , laid. out by
the Edson-i'Jise Deve 1opement Co, on west side of Northwest 5th St.
and south side of :iichmond Avenue , to be known as°"Sedgv.'icl. Place " .
The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Ilesolution No. -719--1924,
to construct A Sanitary Sewer in Northwest 6th Street, in Sedgwick
Place.
The Board unanimously adopted Impxovernent Resolution No. 720. -1924
to impr eve Northwest 6th Str eet, in 5edgwi ck Place , by construct--
ing cement sidewalks 5' wide , curb gutters both sides of street
and paving the roadway with Asphalt , Concre to , Bituminous Macadam
or Brick.
A peti ticn signed by Noy Thomusor: & 2 others , praying that the al-
ley between Southwest 9th & lOth Street, be graded and graveled
from the 1st alley north of National iloa.d to Southwest "A" St re et .
As such improvement is against the policy of the city , the petition
was on motion not . granted .
The Board recei ved bids for the construction of a Sanitary Sewer
in the alley be tw e en South 10th & 11_th tre et , fr om South "I" to
"J" Street under Improvement Ne„olutiori No. 697-1923, as follows :
" John F. Hipskind , bid. :
Sewer complete - - - - 5p3. 29 per linear foot .
" S . B. Pyle Co. , bid :
Sewer complete -- St4.95 per linear foot .
The bid of John If. Hi pskind bei ng the lowest, and being; wi thin
the estimate of the City Civil i ngi neer , the contract was awarded
to John F. Hipskind
The Board unanimously ad opted Declaratory iiesoluti o n No. 172 -1924 c
to condem a part of the southwest - Sectic n, 32-14 -1-bei ng a part
of Lot • 0 , laid out by the chmond Trading and Mfg. Co. , for Park
PurToses .
Claims agai list the City in stun of ;1103 ' . 30 were allowed and ordered
raid .
The Board then adjourned,
