The Board of Public Works of the City of .L ichmond , Indiana , met
in regular sessi on at the offi ce of said Board Monday January 7th
1924 , at 9 o clock A. M. All the members of said Board Messrs ;
Land , McFail and Henley being present . The following proceedings
were had , to-wit : -- _
Mr. Byram -.dolphins -Ltty. for the T.H. I.& E. Traction Co. , presented
a tentati ve agreement in Era tter of constructing transmission lines
to their Sub--Station to built on the gorun_ds at shops car barns ,
The Board requested that certain changes be made in same , and they
would present the net ter to council in an informal way this evening.

The City Engineer was directed to. purcha se 30 cat chbasi ns to be
installed as follows , 4 at ::.21 &, D St ; 4 at N.20 EC St ; 4 at N.
19 & C St ; ,2 at 18 8: C St ; 8 at 17 &, C."St ; 6 at N. 16 cc Penn. R.R
and 2 at N.2lnL, alley north of North "i? . St the same to. be pa id
for out of the bond issues made for sewers in said streets .
The Board arprove an agreement made by and be iw een The Penns ylvan--
i. lroad• Company, Wayne County Indiana , and the City of Richmond,
India , in matter of bridge to be constructed across the rt.i lr.•oad
tracks on Test 5th street, .which street is proposed to be improved
under the "Three Mile 1-Road Law" , and order the same presented to
the Com i0.n Council of the City of Aichmond , Indiana for their
rati ficati on and apr. royal. (See agreement ) .
Mr. Gordon Sup' t. , of Street 1�a.ilway Company, appeared before the
Board complaining that the contractor or light company, had piled
the gravel etc . up in North "E" Street also North 20th. Stre et , in
such manner thftt it was impossible for Ms company to use the snow
plow. The Clerk was directed to request(-the Contractors fr North.
"E" Street sewer and Manager N.B.. Johnson of the Richmond _Light ,
Heat £n Pow er Company, to appe ar be fore the next meeti ng of the
Board so the Board may determine who is responsible for the exis t-
ing condi dons .
The Board allowed the claim of Amos Wolfe in athount' of 5 210.00 'for
services as inspector on West 7th Street improvement 3.00 per day
for 70 days .
A petition for• cementi ng alley between South 9th &, 10th Street , from
South "A" Street north • to 1st all ey south of Main Street was re ceivc
and referred to City Engineer for plans etc . ,
The Board then adjourned •
