The .Board .-of Public forks of the City of i,i ch.mond , Indi ana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board , Monday December
3rd , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members of said Board ,
-• - Messrs , Land , McFail and Henley being present . The following pro-
ceedings were had , to < -
• I The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons whose prop-
erty is affected by the improve Men t of the 1st alley north of
North "G" Street , by grading said alley from North 14th Street
west to the alley running north between North 13th & 14th Street
as provided for- by Improvement -esonutio n No 696-1923. After hear--
ing all persons interested who appear ed. The Board decides that
the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said. improvement
- are equal to the cost of same as reported by the 'City Civil Engi--
- . . neer and thereupon take action on same , the resolut io n being con-
firmed without modification, and Clerk directed to advertise .for
' bids for said. grading .
The City Civil Engineer reported the completion of contract under
Improvement resolution No.685-1923 , for the improvement of North
"B" Street , by constructing cement sidewalks , curb & gutter on
both sides the re of and paving the roadway with tar via macadam, the
Board accented said improvement and approved a •primary assessment ro
roll for same . .
Pursuant to postponme.nt to this date . the Board_ met to hear all
persons interested or whose pr operty is affected by the va cation
of a portion. of North 24th Street ,. from North "F" Street to the
alley between North "B" & "F" Street under Declaratory Resoluti on
No. 171. --1923. A petition signed by five resident owners asking
• that their names be stri ck.en from a remonstrance heretofore filed.
. was presented, and acc epted by the Board_ on motion thee -B -rd con--
firmed all actions heretofore taken in said vacation, and directed •
that a' list or roll of all property holders affected by said va-
cation be made , which list shall give the property beneficially
affected or injuriously affected..
. The Boa_id. signed contractors certifi cate in• sum of 4L612.0O3 for
J. S. Duke, contractor under Improvement resolution No.673--1923.

The Clerk was directed to write Mrs . A.O.Ma,rtinsid

gutter on -east si de of S.W. lst Street at vacated ' Howard. Street.
The. Clerk was directed to noti fy the prop erty owners abutti ng the
alley between S1%1.2nd & 3rd St, from Sw. "C " to "D" St. while they
_ - do not favor cha.ndi rig the plans of grade for improvement of said
.alley, however , they will change said grade if petition and agree--
men t is fi. led by prop erty owners agreei ng to nay cost of nat ing
= change of grade as estimated by the Engineer at 2 71 V li_n-ft . per
side .
The Board then adjourned,
