HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 1438RESOLUTION NO. 1438 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS BENEFICIAL TO THE PUBLIC WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield (hereinafter referred to as "VILLAGE") has caused certain improvements to the Village's water system along 127t" Street between Heggs Road and the east property line of Grande Park (hereinafter referred to as "IMPROVEMENT A") and anticipates augmenting that system in the near future along 127t" Street from the east property line of Grande Park to Stewart Road (eventually connecting to the Village's well site at Stewart and Grande Park Boulevard) (hereinafter referred to as "IMPROVEMENT B"); and WHEREAS, IMPROVEMENT A and B are valuable and substantial improvements benefiting property described as shown in Exhibits "A" and "B", respectively, which are attached hereto and made a part hereof and which are further described as the "BENEFITING PROPERTY"; and WHEREAS, the distribution of cost for IMPROVEMENT A and B are detailed in Exhibit "C" as to each BENEFITING PROPERTY, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, as follows: SECTION 1 The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated by reference into the body of this Agreement as if fully set forth and repeated. SECTION 2 IMPROVEMENT A was completed and certified in the sum of four hundred eleven thousand seven hundred twentx-five dollars and ninety-six, cents ($411,725.96) The VILLAGE shall be entitled to recapture fift 50%) percent of those costs constituting IMPROVEMENT A from the BENEFITING PROPERTY as depicted in Exhibit "A". Said cost to be proportionately paid by the area served at a rate of one thousand two hundred thirty =six dollars and ten cents ($1,201.$7) per acre. S:\Resolutions~Resolution 1-3-OS.DOC IMPROVEMENT B is estimated in the sum of one hundred eight three thousand six hundred twenty dollars ($1$3,620.00). The VILLAGE shall seek to recapture one hundred (100%) percent of those costs constituting the IMPROVEMENT B from the BENEFITING PROPERTY as depicted in Exhibit "B". Said cost to be proportionately paid by the area served at a rate of one thousand forty-eight dollars and sixty-seven cents ($1,048.67) per acre. SECTION 3 The VILLAGE staff is authorized to collect said sum of ($372,790.98) from the BENEFITING PROPERTY, including requiring said payment as a condition of annexation, as to the BENEFITING PROPERTY.
