HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 1430RESOLUTION NO. 14 3 0 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS BENEFICIAL TO THE PUBLIC WHEREAS, the Village of Plainfield (hereinafter referred to as "VILLAGE") has made certain improvements to the Village's sanitary sewer system including installation of a pump station and force main in the following location: near Springhole Creek, along the the EJ&E railroad tracks from Renwick Road to Settler's Park (hereinafter referred to as "IMPROVEMENTS"); and WHEREAS, the IMPROVEMENTS are valuable and substantial improvements benefiting property described as shown in Exhibit "B" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof and which are further described as the "BENEFITING PROPERTY"; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the corporate authorities of the VILLAGE that such IMPROVEMENTS benefit the property described in Exhibit "B"; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD, as follows: SECTION 1 The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated by reference into the body of this Agreement as if fully set forth and repeated. SECTION 2 The cost of the IMPROVEMENTS, as described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof, have been estimated in the sum of two million five hundred sixt two thousand three hundred dollars ($2,562,300). The VILLAGE shall be entitled to recapture one hundred (100%) percent of those costs constituting the IMPROVEMENTS in the amount of two million five hundred sixty two thousand three hundred dollars ($2,562,300).from the BENEFITING PROPERTY as depicted in Exhibit "B". Said cost to be proportionately paid by the acreage served at a rate of five hundred ninety-seven dollars ($597) per acre. SECTION 3 The VILLAGE staff is authorized to collect said sum of ($2,562,300) from the BENEFITING PROPERTY, including requiring said payment as a condition of annexation, as to the BENEFITING PROPERTY.
