The Board of Publ is Works of the City of ilichmond , Indiana, met
in regular session at the office of said Board Thursday November
15th , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members o f said Board ,
Messrs , Land , McFai 1 and. Henley being present , The following
proceedings v:ere had , to-wit : - - .
_ The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily
assessed on account of the improvement of South "J" Street, by
constructing cement sidewalks; curb & gutters on both sides of
street, from South 6th to 9th Street, under Improvement Resolu-
ti o n No.664-1923. No one app earing and no remonstrance having
been filed. The b ce.rd app roved a final assessment ro11 confi- muing
the original assessment roll as heretofore approved. And now direct
the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance .

The Board met to hear remonstrance s if any, of persons pri marily
assessed on account of the improvement of the all ey,;between. South
8th & 9th Street , by constructing a cement roadway, from South "C"
to "E" Street as provided for under Improvement Resolution No. 676-
1923. No one appearing or remonstrating . The Board approved a final
assessment roll confirming the original assessment roll as hereto-
approved. Aral now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the
Department of Finance .
The Board met to hear all persons interested, or whose property
is affected by the vacation of a portion_ of North 24th Street,from
North "F" Street to the north line of alley running west between
_ North "E" & "I+"' Street , under Declaratory Resolution No. 171 -1923.
After carefully consid eri ng a remonstrance fi led signed by C. G.
,. Beam, etal . The Board referred the same to City Attorney,and con-
tinued h ear i ng on same to Thursday N ovemlbe r 22 nd, 192 3
The Board. directed the Sup' t. , of II.E.L.& P.P. to purchase 25,.000
tons more or le ss coal from Castne r,Curran & Bullitt inc. ,at price
quoted, November .850' De c embe r,$1.00 , Dan. ;11. 20 ; Feb.& -Mar ch, 01. 50
per net ton FOB. Mines.
