The Board of Public Works of the City of Richmond , Indiana , met in regular session at the office of said Board\ Thursday November 1st , 1923, at 9 o' clock A. M. All the members ,of said Board,liessrs, Land , McFall and Henley being present . •The following proceedings were had , to-wit : - . The Board met to hear remonstrances if any, of persons primarily assessed on account of the construction of Sanitary Sewer, in the 1st alley north of North "F" Street, from North 13th Street west to the alley, under Improvement Resolution No. 689 -1923. No remon- strance being filed. The Board approved a final assessment roll confizniing in all things the original roll as heretofore approved And now direct the same be transmitted forthwith to the Department of Finance . • The Board unanimously adopted Improvement Resolution No.696-1923, to improve the 1st alley north of North "G" Street, by grading said alley from North 14th Street west to the alley running north and south , between North 13th & 14th Street.. The Board received bill from the E.M.W.Creamery against city fire- man Wm. Kenney in sum of 5'46.0O ; on motion the Board directed the Clerk to notify Kr. Kenney, thru the Fire Chief, to make arrangement; 'to pay this bi 11 wi thin 3o days or resign from the department . The Board . unanimously ado-pted a primary assessment roll of benefits & damages in matter of opening of SW. 5th Street , from national Road south to the south line of Tract No. 216 , Official Map of the City of Richmond , Indiana, as provided for under Declaratory Reso-- luti.on No. l80-1923, and fix Thursday December 20th, 1923, as a date for hearing any objections or remonstrance against said assess- ment of benefits & damages . The Clerk was directed to notify property owners on west •side of • NW. 5th Street , to appear before the Board Thursday Nov. 8, 1923, in matter of stopping up gutter at private alley north of Peacock Road . The Clerk was directed to notify the property owners, to clean the debris off of sidewalks , on north side of South "E" Stre et, from South 16th to 23rd Street. Officials of the T.H. I.Bc E. Traction Co. ,appeared before the Board and members of council, in an informal meeting , requesting the pri.vi l ege of constructing a high voltage Transmission line thru the City. the matter was referred to the Board of Public Works, Public Utility Committee of Council, City Attorney, City Engineer, D. C. Hess, and Engineer from Traction Co. , to survey and report on most feasable route to erect said lines if franchise is granted..
