Thursday October 25th, 1923.
The Board of. Public Works of the City of iiichmond, Indiana,
met in regular -session at the office of said Board, Thursday
October 25th, 1923, at 9 o' clock A. H. All the members of said
Board Messrs , Land, McFall and Henley being present. The follow-
proceedings were had , to-wit : - _
Fred Miller was granted permission to cut the curb for driveway
at 207 South 16th Street.

The Clerk was directed to advertise for bids ,_ for the purchase
_of One tractor, 2 trailers and 'Roadster automobile, for the City
Street Department .
A claim was presented by L. H. Sherry, for re-pairs to automobile
damaged by street department tractor, in amount of $16.90, which
was referred to the City Attorney.
W. Cullen Squier, M.D. submitted for the information of the Board
Diagnosis confirmed by the X Ray. to injuries sustained by
Kepler Bowman city employee while on duty with the Engineering.
Dept. of city, on Aug. 16th, 1923, stating that the injury has
made a good union, there being no degree of deformity and that x
he will gradually regain use of the injured member, Mr. Bowman
suffered a fracture of the right tibia at the junction of the
lower and middle third, the statement of cost of Ray and sur-
gical treatment is as follows: To surgical treatment--$50.00
X'Ray two plates--07.00; pair crutches--42.00 including extra
rubber tips; Oct. 7 , To X"Ray two plates to establish proper
results, showing there is no deformity and that the fracture is .
making proper progress--$7.00; Total----$66 .00; the same was
referred to the City Attorney.
In matter of reflooring of North 19th Street or Gaar bridge , the
County Surveyor reported the cost of same to be $1568.00; City
portion one-half of same or $784.00; the Board takes same under
advisement, until a conferance with County Commissioners .
The Board approved the various payrolls to Oct. 20, 1923, and
allowed claims in the amount of y 7370 .41 and ordered same paid.
The Board then adjourned,
